I thought the highlight of Bodhi fest was the peach mango.

Wet hopped Trail Head > Hop Stalker. Amazing stuff!

Also BBA Spooky Tooth was OK. Tasted like whisky, so if you want that...I think the barrel aging could have been blended more to get a more mellow mix or something. If you love BBA stuff though you would probably love it.

What a great event. My favorite event of Cleveland Beer Week last year, and my favorite thus far this year. Peach Mango was very tasty, but Habanero and Pineapple (and the a blend of them) just cannot be overtaken, IMO!

They were all great but Mango-Peach and Pineapple were my two favorites. I'd have to put coconut last.

Edit: Just saw they canned more yesterday as well.

I think Hop Stalker is great this year, so if WH Trail Head s better that would be something. I will find out later as I couldn't stay until five last night; their reasoning for these later than opening tappings eludes me.

I don't really understand the early tappings and events personally (especially the ones during the work week). Who the hell is able to make it to any of these limited bottle releases and tappings at 4 PM on a M-F? I think for the bigger events they should try and make them fall on the weekend. Cantillon was a great example, I wasn't going to miss time at work to drink beer at 4 PM on a Friday. At least the 3F flights are on a Saturday. Would love to hit up FH today to finally try Nutsmasher but it will likely be tapped and gone by the time I even make it out of the city.

I always try to be drinking beer by 4pm on Friday.

I agree, Hop Stalker is very good!... I found that Trailhead seemed a bit more "bright" and the flavor was just a bit better (for me). Hop Stalker was a little more "dank" following up TH up with it, so depending on the profile you like... One is wet hopped with Simcoe and the other with Citra. Both are awesome!

Did you ask if they had Trailhead before 5? That is weird if they really held out... Kind of stupid to not just have it at open at 4pm.

Never ceases to amaze me the lengths beer geeks will go to in order to hit special tappings. I swear some of these people don't work, or have very fortunate and flexible work schedules.

Are they canning the wet TH this year or draft only? Also, which one is Citra? I had Hop Stalker last night and was blown away, and if TH is even better than I need some of that in my life.

    @Hambergler

No, trailhead is not being canned this year. Only Hop Stalker as far as wet-hopped IPA's go.

According to the FH menu at North Olmstead, Hop Stalker was wet-hopped with Simcoe only.

But according to the Taphouse menu, Hop Stalker was wet hopped with Simcoe and Citra. So not sure anymore!

Trailhead is wet hopped with Citra.

If I pressed the issue they probably would have given me one. But it is no biggie as it will be on for a while.

I'm not really nitpicking, but I get out of work at three and can't sit at the bar all night... have work to do after work!!

Not everybody works a 9-5. I do, but plenty of people work other hours...

I realize this, and I suppose I should add some context here. I'm in a Facebook group locally that baffles me at times with these "can't miss anything" people (same handful) who I swear make every single special release, are in lines for seemingly every single local bottle release, go to every special release within a 5-6 hour radius and just generally make me wonder if/when they work and/or how they afford it.

While I'm sure some of it is jealousy, some of it is legitimate curiosity how they talk their significant others/bosses into letting them have such free reign to attend seemingly every single damn event.
