It wasn't crazy Thursday. At about 12:45 they handed out tickets to people who were waiting (maybe 30?). Apparently there were some people that had been there since 8am.... At 1:00 they handed beer out by ticket number, it went quick and they were selling it off the shelf after that. Hometown Blonde, Staghorn and ABT were all available (limit of 2 for ABT). The point of the tickets was to ensure that people who got their early got their bottles.

Somebody here should fess up, it had to be some BA from Great Lakes forum who got there at 8am. I blame Illinois.

Deb Carey came out and addressed the small crowd before they started handing it out, she was really down to earth and clearly excited about the beer and the fact that people showed up on a Thursday to get it. They threw in some t-shirts for the 8am people and the rest of us got bottle openers. She also hung around and talked to people, I eavesdropped on a couple "why don't you make XXXXX anymore" discussions, was interesting.

So no one is going to honestly review it quick to help others know whether it is worth the trip? C'mon, I did it for the BB Kriek and Geuze, someone help out the 'community'

I don't understand your problem? There was a 2 bottle limit. Who cares if people got there at midnight! Go back to your WI forum!

I'm sure there will be plenty of reviews... right after NG is sold out of R&D.

What are you trying to say here? That people shouldn't have gotten there at 8am? Not sure why you're "blaming" anyone.

Well looks like he was right, it was just a joke about people who showed up earlier than was necessary and chances are they were from illinois. at least they got a tshirt out of it.

No, I am sure they we're from Illinois as they are people from my tasting group. One of them lives about 25 minutes from New Glarus and works third shift and wanted to get on the road before he passed out like he usually would right after work.

Also, there are a bunch of people in the New Glarus parking lot right now having a bottle share. It's 9am.
