Any word on what this may be? If not, when does that info usually come out?

We likely won't know until late November/early December. Last year's release was right before Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a special barrel age brew. They do have a ton of Gose right now sitting in Tequila and Bourbon barrels (probably the '14 BA Cake barrels), along with other goodies in the barrel room. Purely a guess at this point.

That barrel aging Gose seems like an interesting (but not necessarily good) idea, haha. But I trust their barrel program. Would be cool to see something like this. My guess its a non barrel aged adjunct imperial stout/porter. Maybe cherry flavored.

Also curious when BA 4th Anniversary is going to come out, I assume they barreled some last year.

Based on previous years, Westbrook's 5th Anniversary beer should be coming out in December. Anyone have any idea what it will be this year? Also, I'm curious if anyone knows whether Westbrook put any of last year's anniversary brew into barrels (as it would be glorious if they did).

I hope they change it up this year. There's only so much you can do with an "imperial stout with some shit sprinkled on top."

@mtrulin you may be right but nothing generates hype better than an imperial stout....or a sour

They sprinkled shit on top of their last anniversary beer?

I hope the 4th Anniversary did better in the barrels than last year's MC.

So then 4th anniversary was put into barrels last year for sure? They obviously did that with the 1st anny (Mexican cake) and 2nd (cap'n skoon's), but I don't recall them having done it for the 3rd (orange bliss)

I've still got a couple bottles of Skoon's left. Underrated stuff. Snagged a case when it came out.

-Not sure what you mean @Mantooth I've enjoyed all the MC I've ever had. What was neat lately was trying this years MC and BAMC side by side and seeing how BAMC (last years MC) is STILL hotter than this years fresh.

    god that sentence sucked.

Typical MtP thread, no useful information. Your best bet is to call the brewery and ask or email them. Email is probably more appropriate, the people in the tasting room may have no idea. Take a screen shot and send this to them, as well. So they all can laugh at their local followers.
