Alpine HFS is/was a re-brew of the Bine & Vine 3rd Anniversary beer.

 

To expand on what Xul said, HFS = "Holy fucking shit". HTH

The first iteration of it wasn't nearly as good as the B&V anniversary, in my opinion. Not sure how that happened.

 

Ahhh, I stand corrected.

 

The bottles of B&V 3rd I had were excellent

 

B&V 3rd Anny were excellent, the re-brew known as HFS was not as excellent (but still really damn good)

 

We wish right? Bobby said they got a 1/16th barrel of the mutual admiration for the pub and it went quick. That was an incredible ipa.

I did forget to ask about the growler fill amounts for the end of the month. Keene idea had 7 kegs for growler fills so maybe the same? It went a keg a day basically

 

New stickers allow Alpine to fill any 64oz Growler (no clear glass)

I dare somebody to put an asterisk on the growler cover after filling a Nelson.

 

I bet they grow a sense of humor and come out with a new IPA called *.

 

i bet they don't because someone lost their job over it which in the end isn't all that funny

 

Yeah... I don't see Green Flash/Alpine suddenly taking a humorous approach to this. Aside from what has already happened, Green Flash needs the "GF or Alpine version" talk to go away completely, and Alpine is Alpine.

 

I think it's going to be hard for that to happen since the "Alpine" bottled beers are in GF embossed bombers. I said it earlier in the thread, the Nelson bottle I bought a couple of weeks ago was excellent imo. So I would be happy for the * discussion to end. But not looking good.
