I think Boris is one of the best non barrel aged imp stouts and cafe Boris is one of the best coffee beers. Silk Porter is an amazing Porter. I haven't had many of their hoppy beers but they make world class dark beers in my opinion.

I think their prices are good when stuff is released (if I remember right) but its when they resell vintage beers they "sold out of" is when it gets nutty

I was only talking about their resale of vintage stuff.

BA Doris and regular Doris are both really good IMHO. I love them for being roasty bombs. I like BA Boris, but really like regular Boris just as much. Don't sleep on Hoppin Frog stouts.

I love that we're finally talking about the real HF... :stuck_out_tongue:

They do make some nice beers...Boris van wink and Boris b200 were two incredibly enjoyable beers.

I don't need that at all in my life...

    ...especially with FFF's reputation.

Victory is releasing Hop Wallop again, according to thier Instagram.

My issue with hopping frog isn't the $15-$19 IPA bombers, it's that try don't bottle date. And I don't know if I'm paying that much for an IPA that could possibly be well over a year old.
Never gave their stouts a chance, but hopped up goose juice was really solid and their black IPA was really good as well.

I stopped by Hoppin Frog on Tuesday night. Walked out with 2 - BA Boris 200's, 2 Killa Vanilla IPA and a Cleveland Crusher, plus another $100 in bottles for my dad. It was $15.99 for the #200 and besides vintage stuff, that was the most expensive bottle. That is a hell of a deal for a great beer

I have never experienced them doing this.

I have a Boris B100 sitting in my fridge at the moment. I really looking forward to opening that up soon.

I agree on the bottle dating. That has really turned me off from buying a lot of hoppy beers. I dont understand why this isnt a standard practice yet in this industry. I see no difference than when dates are printed on food. Everything has a shelf life.

Really wish they would put those on clearance so I could snag more.

And how many times can you go to a brewery and buy a 6-8 year vertical of a particular beer like at Hoppin' Frog. What I severly dislike is how one year they sold their BORIS van WINK in the shop for $16 or $19 I think it was and the following year, they found some more and declared it "cellar aged" and like tripled the price. Guessing this had been brought up before but not searching 125 pages.

I went to Giant Eagle for lunch today. I picked up that bottle and was reading it as I saw the price out of the corner of my eye. The bottle went back to the shelf with the quickness.

One year in the cellar equals 3 times the price!

#200 is excellent. How is killa vanilla? I like the setup at Hoppin Frog.

Killa Vanilla was great. Never had a vanilla ipa before and it really worked
