So many bombs dropping. Kinda like Murphy's bomb in the 1st, eh FIBS?

    Zing!

If the Mets weren't in it, I'd be all for the Cubbies. However...

Thanks very much to @Mipper for his sub-par hospitality (I mean really, what kind of host attends to all his guests, long-time friends, family; instead of catering exclusively to the ones he met on the internet..... sheesh). There was also a very large quantity of food, some pretty awesome chili and pulled pork, and my first try of shrimp and grits (I'm sold). I've had it said to me before to "let me know anything in my cellar you wanna open" but no one has ever gone so far out of their way or tried so hard to actually make that happen. This should surprise no one that knows the man, but @Mipper truly is one of the most giving people I know.

It of course was also awesome to see again so many people I've met through beer, this was easily the largest share I've attended where I somehow didn't meet a single new person, which was strange and amazing at the same time.

I also was the benefactor of some generosity from a few attendees, and actually one who didn't make it; thanks again @RuckIt for the #pickitup! and thanks also to @Tertullian007, @Dave_Treat, and whoever brought the four pumpkin beers I was forced to take as a condition on being allowed to leave.

Someone has photos of the group, which to me is the more important shot, but I couldn't leave without taking a bottle killshot either...

ps - @Mipper, I thought you might want this back. Now you just have to find it.

How was the wicked weed pumpkin with the cocoa nibs and chilies ? I never had it and was hoping for some thoughts.

That looked like a solid time had there!! Which ones were the popular beers? Oddest yet good?

I actually brought that one home with me, the Wicked Weed sour pumpkin with ginger was very interesting and VERY weird.

Crown Valley Imperial Pumpkin Smash was probably the best one of the night for me, a St Louis shelfie. Rum Pumking from last year was great, Good Gourd and Good Gourd Almighty are excellent and worth trading for. St Arnold's Pumpkinator from any year is great, the one we had was 2012 and was drinking well (but it isn't necessary for it to be that aged, it doesn't gain anything I don't think). Since you're in the area a Caution! Contains Real Pumpkins would definitely be cool but to be honest it wasn't my favorite. Pretty much any Elysian pumpkin beer is good, we had Punkaccino which I think is their best.

Well let me know how it was!

The sour pumpkin was interesting. Little too much charred ginger for me but loved the rum barrels with it

Many thanks to @Mipper for hosting a great share. As I said elsewhere, great food, beer and company, thanks Eric. Also thanks to @Tertullian007 for handing out Jackie O's like he was Santa at Christmas and to @Dave_Treat for forcing beer on me. "Hi, I'm Dave, never met you before, have a beer". Great to meet you both and tick a couple more handshakes along with a bunch of Locals, some who I've met before, some new and some who don't remember that we've met before (@ninjembro ).

We did not get to that one, that I noticed. I have had it in the past and did enjoy it, a BA version would be nice; I think especially a rum barrel, which I think lends itself well to the spiced aspects of pumpkin beer.

I will, hopefully I can share it with a few people so you can get more than one opinion.
