Any news on anyone taking over the old Ramblin Road brewery?

I haven't heard or seen anything lately. Last I heard it sounded like there were negotiations going on re: some interested party taking over, but I think that was back in July or August.

edit: Most recent posting on their facebook page was that they were going to be closed July 4th weekend. Most recent new on their webpage was a tweet from the middle of June. http://ramblinroadbrewery.com/#news
That's what I find most puzzling - that they did so little to tell people they were closed, besides posting a sign on the brewery itself and some low-key info given to the designated beer blogger of the local paper.

Just went back and found the last bit of info re: Ramblin'Road, at the bottom of an article from August that was mostly about Iron Goat that I posted a while back (It's my day off, so what the hell):

Back to Bellweather - apparently they are going to focus on Braggots. I think I had a sip of one once, and really didn't know what to make of it. Any thoughts on them?

They did an awesome job with the space and the beer is good for a brand new brewery. I really liked the Rye beer.

Sounds like one to try. I'm pretty sure I'll be hitting them tomorrow afternoon. I'm also curious about the guest beer mentioned in the link I posted above. Hopefully it's still on.

The Citra IPA was really good. Reminded me of some the east coast ipas I've had. Very hazy, soft bitterness, and lots of finishing hops.

Session stout?... that's at least 100 points off right there. Reminds me of "Imperial Pilsner".

Popped by yesterday afternoon. I wasn't expecting it, but I really dug their Albion, a heather ale with no hops in it whatsoever. Oh, and the citra IPA from that brewery in Liberty Lake was very tasty as well.

The flavor was decent, but it was super thin. I suppose it would work if you wanted the Guinness "experience" but still wanted to drive home (2.9% abv).

Some years ago a beer drinking buddy of mine from way back and I went to Charleston, SC. While there I ordered steamed oysters and a pint of Guinness on tap (there was a fairly decent beer selection). He thought I was nutz.

It was one of the best oyster meals I ever had. The light bodied Guinness complemented the mild tasting oysters and butter sauce perfectly. He still (although rarely now) complains about me doing that.

Nope. Whistle Punk is their name.

Must be pretty secretive, I can't find any info on a Whistle Punk in Liberty Lake.

They were formerly Hanson Brothers Brewing Co., a nano in Newman Lake(edit: my bad getting Newman and Liberty Lakes mixed up. Damn, we have a lot of lakes around here), a town I have yet to set foot in despite living in the Spokane area for 20 years now.

    http://hansonbrothersbrewing.com/home.html

I don’t know if they had to change their name because there was a business in the Spokane area already called that, the makers of the movie “Slapshot” (filmed in Spokane) took exception, the kicking Hanson Brothers of football fame (granted, only one made the NFL and was much more prominent than the other) got upset, or the former boy band threatened legal action, or all of the above.
