"Dodger fans go for the old school beat down." Wow, classy. Oh, just a reminder: The Mets got their blue color from...The Dodgers! Who blew it! Again!

Yeah. Walking out to the parking lot last night with my head down not making eye contact with any Dodgers fans still resulted in a bevvy of violent threats.

    Enjoy the off-season.

Hope the Cubs win. Would be something if the prediction in BTTF came true

Fun series... Can't believe how many jams deGrom got out of last night and really wanted Thor to pitch that second relief inning. For as many boneheaded decisions Murph makes on the base paths, that was not one of them. Ended up popping open a Backwoods Bastard and MT Lost Horizon in celebration.

How dare you like a sucsessful sports team that, like the Dodgers, wouldn't even exist without the other teams! I'm going to do my best to find an ORANGE-related beer tonight to celebrate the Mets win - and to toast to another ORANGE team that is scheduled to win it all in 2016...

I celebrated with a 4 Hands Madagascar. Victory tastes so good.

While I do not condone the violence, I was trying to point out that someone has a better chance against fists than they do knives or bullets. Which happened to fans at other locations around California. And was made 4 years after the last incident. Good luck to the mets, glad to see we all take a game too seriously.

Sorry, but your original words didn't sound anything like that, but, it's nice to know that Dodger fans don't use weapons when confronting rival fans. Home team fans tend to outnumber rival teams' fans and there are almost always a bunch of local goons versus one or two out-of-towners, so weapons don't really even matter. And I know it happens everywhere: they used to cut off alcohol sales in the third inning at Candlestick Park when the Dodgers were in town. I don't know why they ever stopped, as fan rivalries are still a problem.
As far as the game goes, speak for yourself. l'll never take it too seriously, even though baseball is one of my favorite things. When any of my favorite teams lose or out of the running, l just shrug and turn the channel. Asshole fans looking for any reason to fight l take seriously. Go Cubs (I actually want them to win)!

Went to game 5 on Thursday.. what a waste of time. Dodgers couldn't hit for sh*t the entire series. Why even make the post season to bow out early every single year

Brings back fond memories of past Giants seasons?

Yes, in particular 3 of the last 6 seasons. The Dodgers...dodging the World Series since 1988!

You should really have that cough looked at. Also, you might be delirious.

Yeah. Focus on the last couple. No need to remember the decades of futility that you guys endured from '58. Those years? I wouldn't worry about those years...

My first Padres game as a Mets fan, the guy sitting next to me was giving me death glares after he asked (I didn't offer) about my being a Mets fan. After a Met hit a home run, he looked at me and said "You have ten seconds to stand up and cheer." I had to be silent the rest of the game. Other than that, I've had nothing but pleasant experiences at every game I've been to in SD. I even joke about that guy now, I don't think he really meant anything malicious.

Dodgers fans on the other hand...geez. I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a Giants fan in that stadium.

I'll get over the cough when the Padres see more than 2 games in the post season. You know...like....sometime in the future I hope. hehehe

Yup. But we won't go 50+ years.

Keep the faith SD. I am sure it will happen sometime

Always keeping the faith. Although sometimes it takes 2 speedways at the game to maintain that faith. =P
