you do know that retailers base what they charge on what they are charged by the brewery/distributor, right? so if the brewery/distributor decided to selectively upcharge certain places, the likely result is that they would charge even more...

I wasn't being serious lol. if distro was way overpriced, defeats purpose of buying if you can't sell it. was more a wishful principle thing in a perfect world. it would be nice to ship less or cut off to prove a point. I just know that's unlikely.

How much more could they possibly charge? Thats more than double what it goes for at WF Bowery.

I wonder if they made a mistake when loading it into the system? I got a 4-pack of Pulse Wave there for $18, which is cheaper than almost anywhere else I heard of. And Grimm bombers are generally $12 there. Their other beers are generally pretty well-priced too.

Or maybe they realized how in demand Grimm is now and jacked the price, who knows.

Interesting. Maybe they keyed it in as BA Double Negative from an old sku or something? Not sure what the price was on that.

that might be it. the BA Double Negative was around $25 in a lot of places in the city.

I have seen a few places that have the tag for BA Double Neg. I think Eataly showed it as BA, but the price was still $13.

This will all be a moot point once they open a space finally and do some direct sales.
Holding out hope they come to South Brooklyn!

I think we have a while before this becomes a reality.

We shall see. I know of 2 places that are opening by years end in Brooklyn and timeframe would be around 1.5 years max. The trickiest part is just finding the space at the right price...

I think 1.5 years qualifies as "a while"

Lambo Door is on tap at Fools Gold. This is awesome for folk who (like me) procastinated and didnt get to try it on its first run through the city. Its similar to Afterimage but not quite as sweet (pretty close though). Either way an awesome brew. Please put this one in cans @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales

I'd say your of the internet generation if you think that is a while..
Some of us went a while without any new breweries in NYC which was 10+ years.

I'm in Sunset Park - right down the block from Industry City. Apparently quite a few breweries have wanted to open there but the price is too high..

Valid point and I was waiting with you for those breweries, but this is a current problem for some and certainly 1.5 years (very hopeful) for direct sales would be seem like a long way away

and I am happy to be of "internet generation" as over 1 year is a lot of time in my book

I'm 42, almost 43, I went to college without the internet.

    1 1/2 years is awhile

    Also, it's "you're"
