    Squeeze your loved ones tight for me....My good friend who I was the best man in his wedding lost his 5 year old daughter (the flower girl in my wedding) yesterday suddenly to Meningitis. I am still in shock and this whole this is not fair/doesn't seem real. I would like to do something for them but right now there are no words and can't think of anything that could possibly express my condolences to the tragedy they are dealing with. Not sure if anyone has been in this kind of situation where a good friend has lost a child suddenly but if so please feel free to BM/text/email/call me I am open to ideas. My mother always told me life was not fair when I was growing up I didn't realize the extent to which this comment was true.

    Absolutely terrible Drew. My thoughts are with the family- cannot even imagine what they are going through right now. Just awful

    Sorry to hear that. Breaks my heart.

    I've been fortunate to never lose a child...but i've known many who have. The most powerful thing you can do is be present. Nothing you say or do can fix anything. In the midst of suffering and sorrow...the greatest gift you can give is to be available.

    Just reading this makes me sick to my stomach. I could not imagine going through this and there are no words to truly express your condolences. My thoughts with the family.

    Can't even fathom this happening to my kids, don't even want to think about it, even though I've seen it myself working in the medical field. It's just terrible.

    This is just awful. Makes me sick thinking about it having a six year old my self. Everything is worse when kids are involved.
