I'm confident they are back on track. To me, the test was the new batch of Grass Fed Lettuce, and it was amazing. With the expansion, increased barrel program, the new foedre and a new (hopefully stable) brewer situation, I'm thinking we'll start seeing some good stuff coming out of there soon. Fingers crossed.

They are pouring tasters of the BA stout right now. It's a barrel bomb with a great cocao nib kick.

New Brett IPA is all Citra with legit Brett Drei. Totally funky and awesome. They've changed their Brett strain for the better.

Agreed, the stout had a ton of burbon and a little heat, will be real nice to try a bottle in a year. The grass fed lettuce was spectacular.

I'm here to give some love to CucumBerliner. I had it this weekend at Stone and I was very impressed... tart, refreshing cucumber!

I swung by there on Friday, Grass Fed was great, purple drink is back nicely. Those Berliners were on point. I don't know who the new Brewer is, but they having a lot of fun with Brett.

I gave Toolbox another chance on Saturday (last visit was a pretty bad experience) and left with two bottles of their Chocolate sout. If you're local and have not tried it yet (that stout), I would definitely recommend doing so. It's really damn good.

First time since the brewer swap. Any worries I might have had are definitely gone.

That post is two months old, those labels may have been submitted before Peter's departure and all of the changes in releases that happened at the same time. It's entirely possible some or all of them are still coming, but I wouldn't count on it until Toolbox actually announces any given beer.

I was under the impression that as the Planet of the Apricots was glugging into the drain, Spencer was looking at the skies yelling "Damn you! Damn you all to HELLLLLLLLLL!!!"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they said you wouldn't be seeing most of those bottles. There are a couple bottles coming soon according to their board, but they aren't any of the bottles listed in that link.

Had Grassfed Lettuce from growler today. First Toolbox that I have had after Peter's departure. Definitely inferior. I didn't like it. Hope the other stuff tastes better, or the new brewer improves. [IMG]

This batch was indeed created by our previous brewer. We appreciate your feedback and feel we have taken definitive measures to ensure this DOES NOT EVER happen again.
    -Cheers! Toolbox

I think at this point, it doesn't really matter which brewer brewed it. From a PR perspective, if it tasted good, Ehren made it. If it tasted bad, Peter made it. I enjoyed all the beer that I had on draft when I last visited Toolbox in May. I haven't had anything that Ehren brewed yet, so I look forward to trying Toolbox again under the new brewer.

I have the same question. Infected? Some sort of flavor profile drop off? That post raises a lot more questions than it makes me feel good that TB is on top of it.

To All- We were just trying to make light of the situation. We have been nothing but open and honest about our beer as to when it was made, who made it, etc. Someone made a remark stating that the quality correlates with the brewer which is not the case. Nothing is contaminated, nothing is dropping off. Again, we were just trying to be funny.
