I've had the opposite experience, but I do tend to go down during "peak" hours. Either way, I think they're doing pretty well.

I think every business can say this, right? Who doesn't want to grow their business regardless of where they currently stand? I don't know anything about "DVE" (this is actually the first time I've ever heard of it - is it affiliated with the radio station?)...but it just seems to me that this is an advertising opportunity? I doubt they are "losing" anything via this deal...maybe just breaking even or so...thus, free advertising, no?

I've still never been there and they are less than 5 miles from my place. I've never heard anything that gave me the urge to run down there.

Considering the price of the 355s, I can only imagine what the drafts are going to cost at Caliente...

EDIT: @Stigs, insert funny Caliente hatred

Anyone know what "Cuvee de Tomme" or "Framboise de Amorosa" cost when Calientes Hampton had them on tap for PCBW ?

Wait til the spring or summer when that burbon barrel aged coffee porter drops. Its already good. Can only imagine what it'll be after.

The cuvée was 10, can't remember the serving vessel but it definitely wasn't correct.

It looks like Caliente got some Daisy Cutter, Jai Lai, Invasion, Florida Craker, Maduro, Bruery beers and some Anchorage. $$$$$$$$$

If that were Bitter Monk, I would hop in my car and drive to Pittsburgh for that reason alone.

Then look at the price Caliente is charging for it. Then turn around and come home instead.

Then hope it hits MD again, someday.

Plus whatever's in the RR boxes on the bottom left. Jeesh.

I love Anchorage beers.....but probably not at Caliente pricing. I really want some more Daisy Cutter but it is a shelf beer that I would be mad about over paying for

I am a big fan of Anchorage, too. I can find some of their stuff around me (like Mosaic Saison, which I love). But never Bitter Monk.

The open RR box looks like Redemption. I bet there is some Pliny and Damnation or Blind Pig with it.

Whoever they sent around collecting those beers definitely paid retail, so you may as well add $5-$10 on top of retail prices. At least.

Don't they have ties with a distributor in Philadelphia?

Maybe they do. Is all that stuff distro'd to Philly? If so, I take back what I say (except for the whole $5-$10 more than normal retail thing).

If they had A Deal With The Devil, I'd leave work right now. I wouldn't care that it would be $80 a bottle.

Caliente, H1k, and all 3 rivers 6 packs (I think) all use some distributers in Philly to get the beers they do. Trying to remember the conversation I had at H1k, but I think he said it drove out once a month to pick up beers out there

It's not worth 1/8 of that...
