    Here's the story.

I am from the St. Cloud area. My work situation is about to get insane, and I'll be working 7 days a week in a little over 2 weeks. I have this Sunday off and Nov. 8th off.

My goal is to get to several brewpubs/taprooms while I can in the metro area. So my question is: which ones do my fellow BA members recommend?

I've already been to Enki, Montgomery, Badger Hill, Oliphant in Somerset, Pitchfork in Hudson, Lupine when it was in St. Cloud, and I was at the American Sky when it was in Hudson. I've also been to Schell's in New Ulm, and my local ones Beaver Island, and Spilled Grain.

Thanks for your time and input.

Minneapolis Town Hall, for one. That is, unless you've already visited it in the past?

I second Town Hall, but here are some other's I'd recommend.

    Surly
    Bauhaus
    Indeed
    Dangerous Man
    Fair State
    Sisyphus
    HammerHeart

There's also two in Delano and one in Buffalo, another in New London, Big Lake, and Maple Grove. Just for a few things that may be on your way besides stuff down in the cities.

Brewery names might help a little.

My last post might come off as a bit assholey, sorry about that. If you like to venture outside of the metro I highly recommend Birch's in Long Lake. I also recommend Hayes in Buffalo so you could hit both of those up on a Sunday. But I would stick to NE Minneapolis at least one of those Sundays. Waconia Brewing is having there 1st Anniversary party this weekend and they just released their dopplebock. Also will have their Quad and BA Honey Ale on Sunday. I feel highly confident recommending any of those beers to people.

Maybe I've had too many, but I totally forgot about the other thread posted recently about recommendations. Even worse, I posted in said thread recommending Oliphant in Somerset.

This weekend is probably shot, because I have to help a friend, and give him a ride home from Canterbury on Sunday. Now that would be a good thing, because I could stop at Badger Hill, and have a couple there. The bad part is said friend has a problem holding is liquor, and gets plastered at the track. If that's the case, and it was the last time, I have to take him straight home. I could stop at Hayes after (I've been thinking of stopping there), and even Lupine, and get my growlers refilled from them.

I was posting from my phone and didn't have a lot of time. I figuring knowing there was a brewery in a smaller town on his way into the cities would help give some direction.

    Buffalo: Hayes Public House
    Delano: South Fork, Lupine
    New London: Goat Ridge
    Big Lake: Lupulin
    Maple Grove: Omni

I don''t think Lupine fills any growlers other than their own. Maybe you have theirs but I wasn't sure.

I've got 4 of them. I was the first person who bought 4 of them, and was promoted on their Facebook page as the first person who bought 4 at a time, when they were in St. Cloud.

Nope, not quite yet. And people posting to their Facebook page have become pretty antsy about it. :grimacing:

Honestly, if you want to see the most breweries in the least amount of time, Start or End with Surly, and just hit up NE MPLS Tap Rooms.

If you are able to make it up to Duluth, Bent Paddle, Third Street and Canal Park are all awesome.

My favorite brewpub in Minneapolis is Northbound! Always doing something new, plus their year round beers are really good!

I already got his autograph. In fact, I was the first person ever to get his autograph. Still waiting for that facebook promotion...
