    A local brewery tonight (Monday at 11:30pm). - "West Coast IPA" by Batch Brewing Co., Marrickville, Sydney, AU:

    Slight grapefruit nose and fresh green hops. More pine straw than pine, with a dull bitter hop finish. Chalky, mineral tongue coating. Bitter hop linger with just a wee bit of citrus. Still, fresh and tasty.

    Great way to start a day of cooking pasta sauce, salsa verde, squash pies, and roasted peppers. Gonna smell incredible here in a little while.

    Good morning BAs! Starting the day with some Canadian goodness from @SebD - Kissmeyer Nordic Pale Ale. This is a pretty neat brew - I swear I can taste the pines from the Canadian Shield but this is dosed with a number of northern herbs as well. Lighter than an IPA, heartier than an APA, just plain good.

    Sunday night's beers at Frankie's Pizza during Garage Project's Riff Off, closing out Sydney Craft Beer Week. "Garagista" IPA:

    Pine and citrus nose. Bitter hop linger with zesty citrus off set - nicely balanced on malt foundation. 5.8%. The closer - "Death From Above":

    Another delicious hot mess! A 7.5 % IPA mash up of citrus and tropical fruit with mint and chilies. It smells like a beer mojito. Tingly alcohol and chilies on tip of my tongue. An assault of flavor with a bitter chilies finish. Unusual, and unusually good! Cheers!

    Always a day late, but last night, a stop at the Smiling Toad (microbrewery) in Colorado Springs, CO to try their RYEpa and their IPAfreely. Both solid. Fun to get back to the old neighborhood where I used to live, too. Cheers...

    First beer I have tried from New Glarus that was not a fruit beer. Same end result though as I was really impressed.
