I actually managed to score BCBS at the Oasis in Spartanburg, SC last year probably a month after release.

There was a bar and haberdashery in Dingle. The seats were beer kegs with boat cushions on them. The beer was Guinness but you could also buy a belt or a key fob.

This quote has the essence of Shakespearian whimsy. Or a dirty English limerick......

It was before I was really into beer, but several years ago at a small boutique hotel in Paris they had a vending machine in the hallway with 3 or 4 sodas, water, and then Pilsner Urquell for like 1 Euro or something, which I thought was pretty cool.

Went to Aruba for my honeymoon as well. I was pleasantly surprised to remeber it was settled by the Dutch. Belgian beer was readily available. We visited Taste of Belgium multiple times.

My wife and I were in Puerto Princesa on the island of Palawan in the Philippines, where I was expecting nothing but San Miguel. We stumbled upon a gourmet food shop owned by a Swiss guy and his local wife. He had a decent selection of German stuff, with the added bonus of good cheese and bread.

Technically Aruba is part of the Kingdom of Netherlands so no surprise they had good beer, despite their relative distance from mainland Europe and the US.

I don't have any good story of my own, but I remember one time while in Greece (Thessaloniki suburbs), I walked into a relatively small neighborhood grocery store only to find that they had a vast selection of single bottles from local microbreweries.

This is not the same ballpark even but went to this bar last night, real home-y simple place, on a main road but town has like maybe less than 750 people. Didn't expect much. They had Victory HopDevil on tap.

Yeah... there's a spot in Grand Central called Beer Table as well. http://www.beertable.com/ Beat the hell out the oil cans of Fosters that I used to drink on the Metro North.

Ha! I believe it was called Madame Jeanette's. Southwest part of the island, near the edge of downtown Oranjestad. One of their older beer lists is online if you google it I think.

Went to Wine Anthology the other night
to get a few micros for the night. They've
upped their game beer wise but nothing
great. When low and behold there starring
me in the face was Calm Before the Storm,
one of the best beers that I have EVER had,
and also hard to find. I asked about getting
any 6ers they had, but they had none. Just
the single 12 oz bottles on the shelve which
I gladly scooped up, all 4 that were left. Didn't
    expect that. Great surprise!
