Darkness bottles in the wild - not BA Darkness

    Figured it would be easiest if there was a new thread. BA Darkness is not for sale until December, if I remember.

    If you are looking for bottles at liquor stores, use this thread rather than clogging up other ones. Surly made a TON of Darkness, it should be easy to find.

    If the store has three bottles left, don't post, it will be gone in 15 minuets anyway and that does not help. MOST, if not all, stores in the Minneapolis area are getting bottles, even the small ones - they may just get fewer bottles.

    Good luck hunting...

    Also, be nice to those folks answering the phone and behind the registers today. I'm sure they're going to be answering the same questions you're asking a million times today. For those folks, this has to be one of their worst days of the year.

    It is, last year I got a lot of tired and dirty looks even bringing up Darkness. I don't envy working at a liquor store this time of year.

    fwiw, these stores are doing/did a list..

    lunds byerlys in plymouth
    vicksburg liquors in plymouth
    haskells in chanhassen
    haskells in maple grove
    us liquor in hopkins (they mentioned they are potentially already sold out due to their list)

    haskells in excelsior mentioned that all haskells have agreed to release it on friday at 2pm. id take this with a grain of salt as other haskells made no mention of it.

    Remind me again, what's the expected/fair price for Darkness?

    MGM was charging an arm and leg for it last year. No surprise there.

    They have it at MGM Eagan, Cellars Eagan, Cub Foods Eagan (Diffley) and MGM Burnsville.

    yeah for sure... must have been distributed last week and people told to hold it.
    to add to the list Boozemart, Bluemax, 1st Grand all posted they have it.

    So Darkness won't be distributed on the normal Surly delivery date at my favorite liquor store and I need to check today after work? Thanks for tip if true. I would have waited until Thursday and likely missed out.

    I don't have any insider info, but if burnsville has it already then that's my guess... they are usually later in the week on surly deliveries seems like.

    This must be what happened. Had a buddy bring a bottle of 15 darkness to dday eve, said he got it from a liquor store up north that must've put their supply out early on accident. Either way he was famous for supplying a 15 to our vertical before it was released.

    When I was at MGM Burnsville, they were taking it off the truck. They actually had to put it in the system and everything.

    I stand corrected! Some def got it early as I can confirm @Josholson666 's account that we had a bottle on Friday night from a liquor store screwup.
