Beer mile beer

    This is basically some corny excuse to get drunk. First off, any body out there that is a runner knows that a mile is a joke. It's not even getting your foot in the door. Why not just go for a real run, and then drink what you like afterwords, you know, at a pace where you can taste it. And not worry about the calories your consuming because you just did 3 or 5 miles or whatever.

    Not to rain on your parade, but this seems pointless.

    I'm actually using it as an excuse to raise money for cancer research.

    The beer mile's been an ongoing joke with my running buddies, and this is just an opportunity to make it happen for a good cause. I figure replacing my normal "long" day with a "boozy, 4x400 speed work" day isn't too much of a sacrifice if I'm not doing it every week.
