Try last week, I grabbed one from them on Friday. Just a few days old, no one touch them because I'm sure the hops have already fallen off haha.

I don't think they actually put hops in those Ninjas anyways.

Has anyone tried yet? Some of those series were juuust a bit on the syrupy sweet side for me (still excellent don't hate me Pipeworks love you boo!) and curious how this one is tasting

@retinaMark said it was just as malty as Citra Ninja, which I hated!

I haven't tried it yet, but at $12 per bomber, it better be the best damn IPA I've ever tasted.

Wow, I didn't realize they were that high. I won't even bother trying it at that price. I can get a growler from Comrade or Cannonball for just a few bucks more or a Station 26 sixer for a few bucks less.

This beer sounds terrible. Can't wait to try it. :grinning:
Not sure if much will make it down the springs, rumor has it that only 1 place got it, and they didn't even post it to social media...

Hey now, this stuff is imported from Chicago. It is a gift from the gods and is now the best beer sold in Colorado. You will buy it and you will rave about it.

Yeah, but Pipeworks isn't the same without a Hot Beef (or whatever the hell that sandwich is called that Chicago people are constantly complaining about not being able to find in Colorado).

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to trying some of their beers.

So you're saying you want some hot beef with your Pipeworks?

It's Italian Beef!!! Delicious! I'm still missing it, but loving everything else in Colorado.

But if I ever really get a craving I can have it ordered and shipped.

I sense a little bit of food jealousy here which is to be expected when comparing Colorado/Denver to Chicago. I mean, come on, is there really much to compare? Give me an Italian beef over ANYTHING that Colorado has to offer any day of the week. Also, to keep this thread on track, please send out some of those delicious 4pk cans @NOTpipeworks Please and thank you :grinning:

Let's be serious, Chicago has some great pizza but our beef and meat offerings are second to none, and that includes Texas. At least your beer selections and distros are top notch though!

Agreed. I've been out here for over a year, and a Portillo's Big Beef with sweet peppers is probably the thing I miss most. How does their frozen/shipped food compare?

I recently had their shipped stuff and it was fantastic, 75 bucks fed 6 people and it was delicious!

As for the topic of this thread, Pipeworks, I guess they can be hit or miss sometimes, mainly due to the large amount of experimental beer they put out but on the ones they hit I'm blown away. Their abduction series is amazing. I've also had their Smore Money and fell in love! Had their Citra (apparently not called Citra Ninja anymore) a while back and loved it (I also love Citra hops) and I didn't remember it being malty or too syrupy but it was definitely back in my amateur days of beer tasting so I could be wrong. Ninja Vs. Unicorn is decent, I'd buy it if it were on the shelves but wouldn't go out of my way to trade for it. I guess the one time I wasn't impressed with Pipeworks was trying Pacifica Vs. Matueka. Very mediocre IPA pitting two hops against each other that I've come to not like much.

I lived in Chicago for 7 years, and Italian beef blows ass. It is only slightly better than Harold's Fried Chicken, which is disgusting. I'll take a pulled pork sandwich or a brisket sandwich from Lulu's any day over an Italian beef sandwich, which is just a shittier version of a French dip anyway.

LOL that's funny it just means more for me, and everyone knows Browns > Harold's all day for chicken in Chicago.
