I'll have to consider it. We will be busing it or Ubering it though, so we'll see! Thank you for the tip!

You don't want to take a bus out to that neck of the woods... Uber is a necessity. But yeah, hit up BG too if you can. They're doing really good things down there.

Yeah we were going to go with Uber. My gf is a Pitt student, so we use the bus for South Side, Shadyside, etc. She said Uber would be better for Homestead, haha.

I'm going to tell the dudes at the black Irish bar that they live in the burbs. I'm sure they'll agree.

Actually you can take the bus to Target at the waterfront and make an easy walk up to Voodoo. Uber might save you time, but that bus line shouldn't be any problem. I think it at least runs until 11pm.

I don't think it was a matter of whether or not you physically can take the bus to Homestead. The question was whether or not you SHOULD take the bus to Homestead.

If you are talking safety, then you should be able to ride to the waterfront without fear. The other bus which has stops through Homestead is a different story. If you are talking speed,Uber might win that battle.

I don't understand what's it matter if it is "brewed" in Pittsburgh or not? Homestead location has all the beers and gets all the releases and is consider Pittsburgh right? Unless Homestead isn't considered Pittsburgh??

You don't think where a beer is manufactured is relevant when discussing where it's from...?

I do to a point, but to say "Oh these are the best breweries in Pittsburgh" and to say well you can't count Voodoo Homestead because it's not technically brewed there is a bit preposterous. Homestead gets all the same beers as the Meadville location, so really no different.

Honestly I feel like thinking it should be counted as a Pittsburgh brewery is a bit preposterous. That's nothing against them, if you're making the list and you consider them to be a Pittsburgh brewery then they're #1 with a bullet.

Probably best to just agree to disagree, and that's perfectly fine. It's just a list.

But I also think then @PSU_Mike list should be able to include Fat Heads as well.

Yeah it's probably best. I don't care one way or the other, but I just can't wrap my head around you yinzer's sometimes. That's all

I would actually put Chestnut ahead of a few Pittsburgh breweries for sure. Halleck pale ale is better than anything ive had from roundabout, hop farm, spoonwood, hitchhiker to name a few.

Was kinda more of a global statement than an indictment of anything specific in Morgantown, but point taken. Chestnut does have a couple of good things. Morgantown Brewing has been terrible in my experience.

Not to mention it's not even Buzzfeed's list, so who cares.

I'll start leaving voodoo off the "best breweries in pittsburgh" list, when I see my first "best breweries in meadville" list.
