Should. We saw a fair amount last year.

I've never had the Fusion FH; all I know is that last year's Born Yesterday was a level above any other FH beer I've ever had, which is saying a lot for somebody located in the Northwest, where top-tier FH beers are virtually a dime-a-dozen.

As for the Heineken distribution deal, I'm in no place to pass judgment, except to say I don't think it is actually the comprehensive sell-out it has sometimes been portrayed as being. The same goes for Tony Magee. He's passionate and opinionated, clearly, but provocative, and not, I think, a fool. He's made mistakes (who hasn't?), but his instincts, to me, have on the whole advanced the industry and certainly Lagunitas over the years.

Lagunitas, sure. But the whole industry? What makes you say that?

Well, I wrote, "have on the whole advanced the industry," not, "have advanced the whole industry." A slight, but important, difference.

Anyway, my main point was simply that, as one of the early progenitors of the "craft beer movement," they helped the entire industry to grow. Their success, along with that of others, changed tastes and the marketplace. Deliberately or not, Lagunitas was a key player in giving us the embarrassment of riches we have today.

I don't normally buy Lagunitas (not out of any sort of protest, just that there's other stuff I like more), but Born Yesterday was an absolutely phenomenal beer last year.

Full Throttle got their shipment in. Hooray to stores that will hold items for regulars.

I hereby declare under penalty of perjury that it is still absolutely phenomenal this year.

If you are North of Seattle Stoagies n Hops had a bunch of born yesterday. First time I have stopped there.
Picked up a sixer of that and a growler of Ft George Fresh Hop.
Maybe this weekend I will have to drink a bunch of both to do a thorough comparison...:grinning:

had the born yesterday and fresh IPA back-to-back tonight, and i'd say double up on the ft. george fresh IPA and skip the born yesterday. not that you can go wrong with either, but that fresh IPA is one of the juiciest IPAs i've had all year and it hasn't faded one bit in the four weeks i've been drinking it. that beer gives me the feeling that there's nothing i would rather be drinking. shit like this and cowiche sitting on the shelves all october in seattle has ruined my wallet and my liver and maybe some other things that i've been too buzzed to realize.

Just ordered a six pack of Schell's Citra FH pilsner and a bomber of Castle Danger's Mosaic FH IPA. Minnesota FH beers, yo.

But seriously, Schell's Equinox FH Pils last year was amazing. I've got high hopes.

Grabbed a growler of Boise Bine Plucker IPA (Kelso's @ 10 Barrel)...sad I missed the meet the brewers, last night @ Belmont Station. They were all there, those 4 talented cats.

    Born Yesterday's due Friday, there.

Tillamook ain't the only bustling metropolis with its own "Visting" thread, yo: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-bend-sunriver-2015-update.282490/

Broken Top, Platypus/Brew Shop, Newport Market, and Whole Foods are the main spots in town. Crows Feet Commons sometimes gets stuff nobody else does (mainly imports), but you can cover 95% of Bend's distro at the first four. PM me if you have any other questions, and welcome to town!

My sentiments nearly. I'd put this year's Born Yesterday just slightly ahead of Cowiche which is itself just slightly ahead of Ft. George Fresh. Still, they're all so good and almost interchangeable. How fortunate we are that we have ready access to all of them (while supplies last)!

Good call; Castle Danger Mosaic got lots of praise in the Midwest forums' FH threads.

This is good to know. At the Hood River FH fest, Lagunitas was pouring something called Wet Hop fusion 26. It was pretty unremarkable, which surprised me (as typically I've been pretty impressed with their IPA's and fresh hop beers). Based on that beer, I lost all interest in trying any more FH beers from Lagunitas this year (especially with all the Ft. George FH IPA still floating around town). However, after reading this thread, I'm looking forward to trying Born Yesterday.

For anyone in Salem still looking/hoping for FG Fresh IPA, LifeSource got a case (yes, ONE whole case) today. Which, for those keeping count, brings the entire distribution of FG Fresh to Salem to a whopping five cases! Act fast!
