12 Days of XMAS BIF

I've been working on my theme since 12 days of summer, in in in in and I'm in

 

I'm a bit confused why you are tagging me here, and what you're suggesting about when and how bottles are opened? Your tagging me is indicative that you feel I've done something wrong, or gone about something in the wrong way, but I frankly have no idea what that could be.

At no point in any of the "Days of" BIFs, including both the one that you ran and the one that I am running, has there been any mention of at what point bottles can be unwrapped, excepting that they be unwrapped, photographed, and posted to the thread, on their prescribed day. Do you know something I don't?

I have no experience with any of the days of bifs other then lurking, but I always assumed recipients were supposed to unwrap and drink the beer on the numbered day noted on the wrapping by your sender.

 

I was a lil hesitant @Dave_Treat , but I'm not gonna pass up the opportunity to BIF with this guy!

I was calling you out for opening your bottle a day early!

I unwrapped my bottle last night and am very excited about it. Pron will be posted today regardless, but after waking up ill, opening the bottle will probably be put off a day (or more, but not indefinitely).

 

That is true; I only didn't on Day 1 because I was throwing up.

Yes, "last night" as in "after midnight", also known as "earlier today".

There is no rule that the bottle needs to be unwrapped and drank at the same time, in fact many people will unwrap their bottle before leaving for work to give them something to look forward to during the day; some others will unwrap and open their beer at midnight to avoid waiting at all. Like the latter group I'm unwrapping at midnight, like the former group I'm creating a gap between unwrapping and opening, neither of these things seems wrong to me.

What does seem wrong, and is in fact against the rules, is not posting a picture of the bottle you were given each day, and I truly wish that instead of criticizing me for exactly when I opened mine, you focused more on doing that.

 

My comment was because you opened it a day early. But it's beer dude, hope you feel better!

 

Btw, I had contacted untappd last year about making a badge for the 12 days of Christmas. They wrote me back and liked the concept, but said maybe for 2015.

So I just followed up. Fingers crossed!

I suggested a different beer check in every day for 12 days starting on Christmas.

Maybe we should all blow up their twitter and Facebook accounts requesting it?

 

I did not open anything "a day early", I opened it at midnight, widely considered to be kosher. I'm not looking to drag the signup for this BIF down with something from another BIF, if you would like to discuss this any further I'd be happy to take it to a BM.

In more relevant and more important news, I'm IN for this BIF.
