Based on the numbers I'm hearing, you won't even need to show up that earlier. People will though no doubt

What numbers are you hearing? I'm driving down from nova so I don't want to get shut out, but I also don't want to stand in line for hours if I don't have to. Please share!

I'll just say that I plan on lining up now at the same time I did last year. And I have no concerns about not being able to procure four bottles.

I don't know what time you lined up last year. Why be so mysterious?

if I had to guess I would say the fb events which currently has 1,044 saying they are attending. Obviously not all of those will attend and will not be there right at 2pm. Yeah, there will be those dedicated souls who show up at 9am and sit in line for 5 hours. I think they fact that HWP has posted a 4pp limit says they have a lot of product. I plan to show up around 3 and am confident (I hope) that I will be able to get my 4 and the line will have very much thinned by then.

To make your triple worth the drive be sure you swing by Isley for the Boozy Moth bottles and also COTU for El Duderino. Both should be right on your route in.

Hopefully that is the case. I went to the GB release the year after it got hyped. Got there 45 min early only 50-100 in line. Prob 200 by the time they went on sale. I bought 4 and left but heard people talking about going back through line again. The release party wasnt untill later in the day because they staggered it. There were still plenty of bottles left you could of got as many as you wanted at that point.

I've heard 3-4K. I'm only showing up early so I can fly out of there. Family commitments and all.

if the numbers we're hearing are correct there will be enough for all 1000+ who RSVPd on their FB page to get full allotment AND another 1000+ bottles for distro... ie, WAY more than last year

Browsing through some old threads of past HW releases and came across this beauty from the Foolery release. What's the over/under for most mules one person brings and how extreme with they take it. Anyone already pitching their tent. HA!

The text accompanying this post was, "How do you mule? A new level of low! The leader is the one sitting down."

I was about 3 people to the right of this group. we all initially thought Grandma was a mule, but when we started talking to her, we found out she was the one who actually wanted the beer and Grandpa and the kids were the mules! she was really cool!

That's awesome! I did read through the comments with the post and it definitely did sound like the people who spoke with this group found them to be a really good group and they were more than just bringing the grandparents along for muling purposes.

Ah, there's my line holder! Will roll in about 10 minutes before wristbands and cut in front of the mayor. The RVA neckbeards may grumble, but I don't think I could care less. WANNA RUMBLE BRUH?!?! ;-) ;-)

I wish Hardywood would distro to NC (and distro this). Would love to try some someday (along with GBS). Going to have to figure out the time to make the 3+ hr drive to RVA.

Also what's the price on a bottle? Assuming 15-20?

Looking more and more like right at 2:00 for me. The Answer is tapping a Velvet Merkin keg and pairing it with donuts at noon. Something about that just creams "must be there!" to me.......I may need that to put me in a "happy place" before crowds anyway.

Buz and Neds is a good take out place for bbq if you want something to eat while you wait in line. Less then 2 miles away. Locals will say there is better but it's good.

Yeah. It's decent BBQ, but my family is from TN, so there's very few local joints I've had that have equaled the stuff I can get there. That said, some solid places to grab food in the area about a mile or so from Hardywood include: Fat Dragon (chinese), Dot's Back Inn (diner/dive, low prices, good food), Lunch and/or Dinner (in Scott's Addition and great southern cuisine), Lee's Chicken (because, fried chicken), Black Sheep (great sandwiches), Saison (because, chicken biscuit). There's a bunch more as RVA has a plethora of good eats, but that's just off the top of my head.
