Now to start thinking about MY end of the deal........

 

Super simple. I cut a long vanilla bean into thirds. Took one of the pieces and split it down the middle. Opened the BCBS, threw the two pieces into the bottle and then recapped using a home brew cap and bottle closer (no idea real name).

It turned out amazing. Actually just put some more into a Bells 30th last night. Probably wait until tomorrow or Sunday to see how that one does. Didn't care for it in a KBS.

 

Happy Birthday @Mipper -- aren't you at about the point where you stop tracking/counting (FWIW, I am -- and I remember the Immaculate Reception)

 

I might have to try that too -- I was curious about the resealing/recapping, but I guess that should have been obvious.

Oh I would have been but the notice went to spam and it took me too long to find it in my spam. I died a little bit inside that day and each time I think of it. I kept the email because it hurts too much to get rid of it

 

So my lowly Colts took another ass kicking over the weekend. At least this time they didn't embarrass themselves with a 'trick' play but they made so many mistakes that it didn't matter. But on the bright side, they are still in first place in the division!

That means that another box is going to be sent out. The winning candidates this week were @devilfluff and @billhelm. Into Random.Org the names go and the first one to get 3 hits wins...





And the winner is @devilfluff.

It will probably be the week after next before I get the box out, but it will be coming. Congrats.

About 5 years ago Indy did a "suck for Luck" campaign so that they would have the opportunity to draft Luck. I'm beginning to think that we need another "suck for Luck" campaign so that they can draft some good offensive linemen to help Luck out. Between that and a new GM and/or coach then maybe they can get back to being the good team that we have been accustomed to for the past many years.

 

Halloween/Darkness LIF

Bout that time.

It's about time I do another LIF. So it's Halloween tomorrow. My wife will take the girls out and I'll stay at home and hand out candy, drink beers and watch the World Series.

This one's pretty easy - The question - How many kids will come trick or treating to my door? - and the tiebreaker - how many beers will I consume while passing out candy.

I'll give you a few clues - I live in a relatively dense area of the city with a lot of homes, we live in the area where kids get dropped off by the car-full sometimes, and the weather's supposed to be good (for Minnesota) tomorrow. (mid 50s, no rain or snow)


I'll take entries til 5pm on Saturday - winner gets a bottle of this year's Surly Darkness (regular) and whatever else I decide to throw in there.
