Actually, this might fly. Ballast Points Yellowtail Pale Ale refers to a species of fish called "Yellowtail". It looks like Copperhead's Yellow Tail Pale Ale refers to a tail that has been colored yellow. Maybe. I think there could be justification here.

For those interested, it reminds me of the Stags' Leap vs Stag's Leap quandary a few decades ago. Look it up if you want, use the Googler

The only push back may be from Yellow Tail wines. Definitely not Ballast Point since what was once Yellowtail for them has only been registered with the TABC as just Ballast Point Pale ale (and about to change names again to California Kolsch).

Just wondering if anyone knows when we will start seeing beers from Lakefront start showing up? I've seen a lot of label approvals for them as of late, but haven't seen any of their beers down here yet. Seems like a

I am curious about this as well. I just assumed it was a DFW only release, but no real idea.

Looks like my idea got cut off, lol! Mean to say, seems like a waste of money. I know they distribute to Oklahoma, I assumed when they started getting label approval here, the beer would follow shortly. One of the breweries I do miss from Wisconsin for their core line up, Lakefront has never had anything overly special IMHO, but they have always had a solid core of beers that will not let you down. Consistent, flavorful, and solid.

We getting Alesmith now?? Or maybe we've been getting it and I just can't find any.

Should be coming in. From what I heard is that it will be distributed by Andrews in DFW which makes me think it may be another DFW only one. Which would piss me off.

Damn....I'm in SA so I doubt we'll be seeing any if that's the case. Good thing I'll be going to Dallas in the next couple of months so I'll have to ask a buddy that's a driver for Andrews if they've dropped some off anywhere.

Yeah, it isn't released yet either way - and it very well could be going through other distributors as well. I asked someone who runs a beer store in Austin if he had heard anything, and he had not - meaning no distributor has told him they have AleSmith, which makes me also think it is DFW only.

I felt like I heard BEK, but don't quote me on that one and I don't see it listed on Andrews NTX Beerweek promo (unlike Ninkasi which lands next week)

I know right? IMO Hanssens Oude Kriek is way better than most of the other Krieks. And yes I will say it better than Cantillon Kriek!

In a way, I hope BEK, but also hope it's not them because they are BEK.

If you're saying that in reference to the recent political allegiance discussion that took place in the Oskar Blues thread, then you should hope they don't sign with Andrews, Brown, or Favorite Brands either.
