Aw sad times. Anything going on in general or just another day in the books?

We're still working out details on the process for the bottle release. But on the day of the release in Long Beach, we will have several food specials, all 5 vintages of Tovarish will be on draft, AND we'll have 5 different cask treatments of Tovarish.

Ever a chance blank growlers will be allowed in the future?

    Greenshift is Spot On!
    Get it.
Had this last year , but only got 2 bottles. It was gone when I went back to get more. Picked up 6 bottles this time. 1 for a trade. Might have to get another 2. Big DIPA @ 10%.

I agree with David, this is the best batch of GS they have made, much less bitter and resinous with more orange and tropical fruits, great balance for 10%. Glad I grabbed 2.

    Cheers…...

Why do I always have to be gone for xmas (I am sure they mean Saturday)

Friday, December 26, 2015 marks the 5th annual release of our Russian Imperial Espresso Stout, Tovarish.

To celebrate the occasion we're pulling out all the stops in Long Beach and will be pouring a 5-year vertical of Tovarish on draft, 5 different cask treatments of this year's Tovarish and will have a special menu of Russian-inspired dishes.

    On draft:
    Tovarish 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

    Cask variations:
    -Mocha
    -Tiramisu
    -Amaretto
    -Cocoa Pebbles
    -Double Espresso

    Special menu items:
    -Borscht
    -Pirozhki
    -Russian Meatballs
    -Korolevsky Cake
    -Ptichye Moloko Cake

Tovarish is an impossibly complex imperial stout that boasts an array of rich flavors and aromas. Deep roast along with notes of dark fruits blend seamlessly with an infusion of masterfully roasted coffee from Portola Coffee Lab®. Bottles available at both locations. 11:30am. $16/22oz. btl.

I've never had Tovarish before, how is it? It isn't anything like Mocha Wednesday, is it?

Hard to say as I have never done a side by side. But its one of the top beers beachwood puts out, well worth the 16 bucks and the flight and treatments.
