    Also, my ol go-to around the holidays is St Bernardus Christmas. Something about the fireplace running while sipping that beer tickles my fancy.

    I would be looking forward to Schlafly's Winter ESB, but I don't see it in their lineup on their website. When Schlafly came to this state, I never saw the ESB anyway. Guess I'll give up hope now.

    Is that the case... that it was without spices until a certain year? Ahhhh... I just looked it up. Spices added in 1987. Is that accurate? I never knew that.

    I don't remember the year, but 1987 sound about right. I guess plenty of people do like it with spices, and that's fine. They have other products I still enjoy

    Are you drinking hop ranch at the brewpub? I thought this beer had been discontinued a few years ago in its bottled version. It's a favorite of mine too.
