anybody try this yet? Picked one up last night on impulse without a sticker price. Got home and looked at my receipt and its 20$! Reading the label they are daring you to age it for 10 mo but I don't think I can wait and don't want to buy more at those kind of prices!
I have a couple bottles but haven't opened one yet. Had it on draft at South Dock, which I guess was the pilot batch, and really enjoyed it. The bartender told me he thinks the bottles are perfect right now and prefers the bottles to draft. His opinion was to save a couple if you wanted but don't hesitate to drink it now.
Sweet I might have to open it later tonight and grab a couple to hold on to. Pricey bottle and I will be challenged to find the list of favors they are describing on the bottle but sounds amazing. Cheers!
$20 for a 22oz. of regular Quadrupel, what is this craft beer world coming to? $1/oz only belongs to barrel-aging IMO (which includes sours). You can buy The Sixth Glass 4-pack for $11.... ($0.22/oz) Heck, you can buy Abt 12 4-pack for $18... ($0.38/oz)
Bought it for $20 assuming it was Barrel Aged. It is not. Shame on me for not doing my homework. $20 can buy you multiple bottles of much better quads. Beware.
Impulse buy without knowing the price! I had to reevaluate my beer habit for about 15 sec when I saw the receipt. The labeling describing the flavors gave me the impression it was aged...
A six pack of Westy 12 is only $22 I'm okay with it not being barrel aged as I think that's getting a little played out. However that price is pretty steep.
I hope that's the case, that way I'm not holding expensive inventory on my dime! As I would like to see what this is a 10-24 months down the road
