Same story with my trade, wished this thread was created before I sent him my beer. But oh well, hopefully the 8 people he has open trade with will see this and not send him free beer.

 

@F2brewers @blue-dream , any way to list out the other people who have open trades with this guy so they can be @mentioned so they are aware and possibly collaborate to find this guy and get everyone whole?

 

That's not something we can see...our privileges aren't sufficient.

I'm one of them, but no worries.. I told him to forget our ip trade after extending it for weeks, and I'm pretty sure he needed my bottles for a trade or two. Idk what he was doing offering up the beer if he didn't have it.

 

Well, this is shitty of him. Maybe he will come in here and defend himself, but I find that doubtful. I am sure it is a "life happens bro" excuse.

 

He's a young kid, still in college, and it sounds like he made the #newmoney mistake of getting in WAY over his head, way too quickly. But maybe his plan was to rip people off the whole time - I guess we'll see.

He DOES work at a beer store, so picking up bottles really shouldnt be an issue for him......

 

It would also be pretty easy to call and try to communicate with him that way as well. I straddle the fence on how far is going too far but with more and more people not taking responsibility for their actions I've been leaning more towards whatever it takes.

 

This is the same character that contacted me on one of my ISOs, agreed to a trade then went dark. When he finally got back to me, he said got a better offer and was going to have to back out. #newmoney all around. @Raj I have an extra Nocturn I can send your way.

 

I posted his name on multiple Fb groups and probably 6-8 people have already come forward with the same story about this guy - agreed to an IP trade, then flaked or backed out. He seems to have a real issue

 

Hell, call up his work, ask for him, and just say that you would like your bottles. That may scare him enough to send some.

 

His boss has been tagged to one of our local FB groups. Let's see where this goes...

 

I had an IP trade set up with this guy, then he texted me a few hours before we were supposed to meet that he needed to change the trade and reduce the # of bottles he was giving me, down to 1. I told him it wasn't worth my time to drive 45 mins for one bottle so we called the trade off. It was annoying but I didn't lose out anything. Not surprised to see his name here.

 

Yeah he posted his first FT/ISO Thread the same day he joined BA...seems like he's been trading like a total "boss" ever since, broseph. Dude, I've got like 10 trades going at once, chasing whalez...

 

I would say he has gotten over his head. I was one of the first trades he made and I noticed that he quickly racked up a ton of trades in the matter of a week or so. The first trade went smoothly with no problems. The second went smoothly with no problems. He wasn't able to secure one of the bottles because he said he had a family emergency and couldn't run over to JK. No worries, family first. We adjusted the trade and everything went fine. I've looked back through our conversations and didn't notice anything that stood out to me. He tries to win, but manages to keep everything right on the cusp of me saying "No."

I will say this. He told me that I would be offered his Sherry Atrial to trade for first. He then tells me that he wasn't able to get one...and the he posts a FT with sherry atrial. I responded to his ISO and said "Hey, didn't think you grabbed one, but I have your ISO." After sending him that message, he immediately left the conversation. It was too fast for him to have logged in and done it, so I assumed that he blocked me and all communication from me. He went onto my DNT list after that.

The trades went fine and communication was fairly prompt, so the feedback was positive. I believe he got over his head trying to win trades. He was going after a lot of big bottles and when a few trades fell through he panicked.

@ttp86 I can get you an Aurelian and possibly an Atrial. Unfortunately I don't have a Fen Tao. We can do this IP in St. Louis like last time . I'll be in town for Abraxas day.
