Anyone know if there are any establishments around the city that regularly serve cask beer?

I think of theme bars like pipers or ruggers. Also vaguely remember Whole foods wexford having some? I ultimately have no idea though.

Definitely Pipers, Carson St Deli has a hand pump as does both Fatheads and Smokin Joes although I would be a little leery of the latter. Im sure there are other around town as well

@jagoffyinzer did a cask every Wednesday night at Hitchhiker; not sure if he's still doing it.

Just wanted to pop back in and say I had a great time at Voodoo Homestead on Sunday during my trip out to Pittsburgh. Went with my GF after a great lunch at Blue Dust. Loved CAUTION, that was a tremendously smooth beer for 11%. Lots of fun to just chill and play Battleship while having a couple of beers. Great place!

Has anyone had anything from Insurrection? I follow them on Facebook and their beers all sound delicious. They shared a photo today of a bunch of mangoes that are going into a sour.

Glad you enjoyed yourselves! I was bartending there on Sun, but if it was after 3, I was one of the guys there playing nerdy board games. Would've introduced myself if I'd known.

I remember this, Nate. It was listed on the draft list as the BA variant, but it was just aged on oak staves (like bbvd or oaked yeti). Phenomenal beer regardless. I think you were sipping some with me that night?

BA speedway is a ticketed release. If bottles leave alesmith, I wouldn't expect them to travel far out of Southern California.

For whatever reason, last year Wisconsin had a shit load of BA Alesmith beers just sitting on the shelves

That would make sense for decadence and the wee heavy. I believe it's speedway (and variants) that are done via brown paper tickets for pickup at the brewery.

Outside of HF Double Galaxy, does anyone know of other hoppy offerings utilizing all Galaxy hops that are actually available?

Long trail has a single malt single hop beer with galaxy out now in cans. I recently bottled an all galaxy pale ale that turned out really well (if not a hair catty as it warms up). Id be happy to share a bottle or two if you want. Can't really recall anything else available around here, maybe flying dog.

Church has a firkin on handpump usually tapped on Thursdays until it kicks on the weekend.

Heidelberg. I have been wanting to check them out when they open but I know they have had some delays, looks like hopefully soon. They have 1000L oak foeder that should be able to do some fun things.

Heads up if anyone has any voodoo pb breakfast of champions left, I just popped one and it was extremely carbonated after being stored in my ~60° cellar. Probably want to drink those soon. Still tastes great.

As a a galaxy fanatic I just bottled an all galaxy IPA; and if turns out well (the non carved sample was pretty nice) I'll drop you a few bottles to try - if you're interested.
