Deschutes Black Butte XXIV is starting show up in DFW. Recent Jester King releases - Boxers Revenge and Drinkin in the Sunbelt. Ballast Point Sculpin six-packs. St Arnold Endeavour. Oskar Blues (Dales, Deviant Dales, Ten Fidy). Stone, Green Flash, Bear Republic. Quite a list according to seekabrew.com.
I'd have him hit the Bottle Shop and get a growler of Lakewood Rock Ryder. Wonderful rye flavor in that, easy to drink it down and it doesn't get newer than those guys.
I'm flying into Dallas today from Raleigh, NC. I plan on making a dinner stop at Common Table on Tuesday evening. I've heard they have a Boulevard Brewing tap take over. I know a couple of breweries just launched in DFW in the past few weeks. Anything that I shouldn't miss? Deep Ellum, Lakewood and Firewheel are on my list. I'm staying Las Colinas so need to do some bottle shopping at the bottle shop over there. What Jester King is around right now?
Beyond the standard stuff, you might still be able to find Jester King Drinkin the Sunbelt and Boxer's Revenge. I dont think Bonnie the Rare is on many shelves yet - I've heard next week on that one.
Thanks for the info folks. My friend is back now and picked up some Boxer's Revenge, Brux, Sculpin. Unfortunately, no Hans Pils from Real Ale. Anyone have any advice on where to get this and how long it will continue to be around? Also, any word on the street about Saison du Buff on the shelf in Dallas? Thanks!
I live in Irving/Las Colinas, and these would be the best/closest beer bars/stores around. Beer stores: Las Colinas Beverage in Irving/Las Colinas. Hall's Grocery in Colleyville. Lone Star Beverage in Carrollton. Beer bars: Meddlesome Moth, Common Table, and Strangeways all in Dallas.
Yeah--I don't what happened on the Hans Pils. I happen to have a lot of respect of that beer. I love the North German style pils. Anyway....any word on Saison du Buff.
