I'm pretty sure that comment was tongue in cheek, but maybe not. I understand fresh its best, but it is okay if these beers don't get consumed within 48 hours. I had an IPA recently that was - gasp - bottled in July. And it was damn good.

JULIUS (American IPA - 6.8% ABV) - Bursting with pungent American hops, Julius - our flagship American IPA - is a bright, juicy beer filled with flavors and aromas of mango, peach, passionfruit, and a melange of citrus juice. A soft, pillowy mouthfeel and rounded bitterness ensure Julius will never tire the palate - a true joy to drink! $3.75 / can | Limit 6 cans PP | ~450 cases available

2 weeks is old now? Sometimes the beers are better after a week when they chill out a bit. I've had some cans after a month or 6 weeks and they're still damn good.

I'm positive that was a joke; unless I'm reading it wrong, it was made in the context of very low can limits on Haze and AE, urging others to pass on them so the OP could snag them!

I'd agree, I think 2 week's is Julius' sweet spot. Sometimes it's a bit too "green" at first...

My first trip to Tree House today. And for a 2 hr round trip drive from work it was pretty damn painless. Got there 11:35 & was in my car at 12:10. And when I open my fridge I am greeted by 4 smiling faces; Julius, Eureka, Alter Ego, & Haze. It's breath taking. Will definitely be doing this again.

Hey, anyone remember when Creature Comforts did a collab with Tree House? That was 7 weeks ago... Any chance that is coming soon (this week?), did I just miss it, or are we waiting for a "See the Good Morning Stars" stout?

Can anyone give me an idea on what the growler fill wait times arethese days? The last time I went - about 9 months ago - the wait (excluding drive) was 2.5 hours. If I were to get there at say 4pm on a Friday - would that put me at first in line, out with growlers by 5:15pm? Or thereabouts. Just looking for some current guidelines and what to expect.
    Thanks!

Probably not first in line. Probably something like 15-30.

Seems they are really canning the hops hard the past couple weeks with Haze, Green, Julius, Alter Ego, Eureka, etc. all on. Hopefully Sap is next........

They've said that they are waiting for the Sap hops to come in. Simcoe maybe. Don't remember exactly.

But the rest of the IPAs are flowing strong.

You are correct, they are apparently still waiting for the simcoe hops to arrive.

Worth mentioning that the TH crew will usually collect growlers for the first 20-30 prior to opening, the majority of which will be filled by the time you are through the can line. Great system.

In other words, if you're there an hour before open the wait shouldn't be too bad after open.

While that may be true, I'd like to point out that you're still waiting an hour. Just at the front of the line. It might be a more predictable (even shorter) wait time, but it's still waiting.
