The alpine prices are equally as fair as any other products GE sells. All I can say on that. There is a happy hour at Shadyside and maybe at waterworks.

@randylangford will you guys be getting Death by Coconut from Oskar Blues at any MD?

In your original post you were talking about Happy Hour pricing and affordable beer. I guess that the same discretion doesn't apply to your grocery shopping at Whole Paycheck! :stuck_out_tongue:

Don't plan to grocery shop there--though I am excited about having another option for grocery store draft beers, and would go there strictly to drink fair priced beers.

Wasn't insinuating that they chose to sell only Alpine at inflated prices (as an individual brand). But, I'm used to seeing GE drafts two or three dollars less than most other places and was surprised with Alpine drafts were about the same price points as others (but not Sharp Edge, though bastard still charge like $9.50).

I think most everyone agrees that with the exception of their beer section which is actually quite reasonable, the store is comically overpriced on the whole.

From what I was talking about yesterday and got crickets on, Insurrection uploaded a picture of their beautiful bar top and said they will have info on their opening in a week or so. Stay tuned.

I've never found Whole Foods to be overpriced, beer or otherwise. Meat and fish is usually high quality and not too bad. Produce is really high but I'll pay for the better veggies.

You pay for what you get in terms of quality. Now whether you believe in the whole organic is better, that's another story, but for the products they are putting out, they are good quality products.

Yes I think the place is a joke, so I giggle every time I see the name.

Also, this is comical coming from the person who loves dropping the Draai Laag growler joke, a lot.

When I think of Whole Foods I think of this:

I also think about the time I paid $16 for a salad from the salad bar.

I assume Troegs rebranding is because they inked a deal with Whole Foods.

I actually don't mind their new labels. They look a little less jumbled to me than their previous ones (which I liked).

Didn't love all previous labels the same, but Nugget Nectar pounder art was one of my favorites. They now seems less powerful and distinct. Feel like I'm buying artisanal marmalade.
