    Hello all,

I recently moved to Geneva from Marcellus and while the access to local microbrews has been fantastic, I have been rather disappointed that I can't find a good bottle shop in/around town. I'm close to the breweries in town, and others nearby in Canandaigua, Penn Yan, Rochester, and Ithaca; so that makes things sort of bearable, but driving longer distances or only filling growlers gets cost prohibitive really quickly.

Is there a bottle shop any closer to Geneva proper than Canandaigua? I'm familiar with places like Thirsty Pug and D&L in Auburn, and would like to avoid a trip East on 5/20 or on the Thruway if possible.

    Thanks!

It is slim pickings that way. I'm not sure if Newark of Farmington is any better, but yes Canandaigua might be your best bet.

I live right down the street, and while they do have a decent mix of stuff, the fact that I can't get something as ubiquitous as Sixpoint there is irritating

I'll be visiting Rochester, NY (between Canandaigua & Rochester). I am told that beers of the world is a good stop ...but/and would like to potentially line up some IP trading, goodbeer-drinking, etc ...with folks from Rochester, NY (...not to be mistaken with Minn.). Do BAs from Rochester tend to be/refer to the Mid-Atlantic or Great Lakes threads, given the city is closer to the Cleveland, Detroit ('Great Lakes') than the nyc/philly area?

This is the right forum for Rochester people. I'm not actually sure how many are left on here from there. I currently live in Ithaca, but was from Rochester. They have some very active FB groups in ROC, but they include a lot of truck chasers. BOTW is expensive and a lot of light exposure for bottles although they have a wide selection. I prefer AJ's which is down the street from BOTW. Hess gas station in Bushnells Basin is one of my favorite places which shouldn't be a place. If you need more info PM me.
