Other Half Brewery Thread (November 2015)

Just went at with with a line cutter who showed up with a group of 4. Told him off and still didn't move. People these days make me sick.

 

356 people in line and growing.......don't come if your aren't already here

 

Already saw a few altercations/dirty looks over line cutters. This release is honestly bumming me out a bit. Beer bringing out the worst in people...

Just got there and am getting right back on the train

 

As I said yesterday, the limit should have been 4 cans per person. But good for Other Half. The hype is great for business. To bad for the rest of us who don't want to stand around for two hours on a Saturday morning.

 

Lots of beer nerds passing time by taking video of the line. Longest NYC beer release line since ever? History!

 

Aaand now the people behind me are drinking and making zero effort to conceal it. Awesome.

 

Line cutting is getting absurd, I feel bad for the people towards the back.

 

The tension while standing on this line can be cut with a knife. I feel as if I'm the only one confront line cutters. Grow a set people, put them in their place .

 

I got here at 9 and I'm probably getting shut out. Last night I expected to be maybe 100th in line if arriving at this time...I'm probably 300th. This is insane. So many people drinking on line/attempting to cut

 

I've seen and spoken up to people about cutting. They either ignore you or say what are you going to do about it. Yep the beer community majority is slowly becoming the dregs of society.

 

The OH staff was made aware of the "same ole line dude" handing out cards. Hope they refuse service!

Good call. Reading this thread is making me increasingly happy I am not in line.

 

NYC is waaaaay too big of a city to have a brewery that is hyped and has releases...combine that sheer population with the general rudeness of a lot of the people and you get shitshows like this...congrats NY, we made it!!!

 

Going to cut some tension here...

Around 500 people will get Street Green.

 

This is really disappointing to hear. One of the nicer things about the OH can releases is how relatively calm and we'll run they are. The people I've spoken with while waiting are usually up for chatting too. This just sounds like an OMG TRILLIUM rush. Just take an Amtrak to Bostonif you've got that much of a boner to try it.

 

I'm just hanging here at the back....which is on Court Street now. Glad I at least got to drink a pint of this on Thursday.

 

Don't tempt me. I opted against walking over when OH said at 8:45 on Twitter that the long already exceeded demand.
