I agree, I wish it was in a sixer. That won't stop me from buying more though. I really like it.

Agreed. This would have been great as a sixer release but as far as a Thumbprint version...well...it's solid but nothing above and beyond that.

NG should put TPs in bombers and charge $15.
If it is a small experimental beer from Dan, then it will either be in 4pks or released as R&D. Just be glad there is no spiced ale this year!

As of yesterday, it wasn't in Hudson, yet.

They basically did this year. Instead of real Thumbprints at $10 a 4-pack we got extra R&D releases at $10 per 500 ml, which is equivalent to about $13 per bomber.

I, for one, am not a fan of this practice. The best New Glarus is footprint-wide, easily accessible, & easy-on-the-wallet New Glarus. Bring back the old Thumbprint schedule NG! You guys had a great thing going for a good long long while.

I wonder if the new ownership structure could be driving the change in New Glaurs' offerings/pricing.

I agree that I would like to see the Thumbprint series return to being 6 times a year (with no year-round offerings) and being beers that not reruns or are a bit more off the beaten path. Milk Stout was the only new Thumbprint this year, and it's not leaps and bounds better than Road Slush to command Thumbprint prices.

Agree that Golden Ale should have been a Thumbprint instead of R&D. I would like to see zero repeats in the R&D series.

All of this is forgiven when the votes come in and they re-release 10,000 bottles of VSB at $10 a pop

Agreed. Except on the repeats. I will gladly drink their Berliner every late spring/early summer. It's absolutely my favorite "the weather is getting nice" beer. Better yet, just make that one a seasonal. Also, they should re-brew all of the pre-summer 2012 thumbrints. Only because I didn't live here yet and haven't gotten to try them.

I think they should quit screwing around and brew Snowshoe again and make Black Top a permanent year-round offering. Just 2 of my cents...but I'll keep buying what they put out regardless.

    P.S. - Brew Alt again

    Seconded.

I vote for it every year in the beer vote.

The BA trading forums have been out of whack ever since the powers that be decided to turn off replies in that forum. That's just one example of many.

New Glarus stuff is widespread in Wisconsin, including gas stations. Apple Ale isn't necessarily a year-round shelf beer as its more of a seasonal, but the other three are easily found in better stores these days.

The pressing issue that will probably affect your beer trading prospects is that I'd imagine shipping to and from Hawaii is very expensive.

Yes those fruits are everywhere and are shelf staples. In that poster's defense, Ditka was last seen wearing a Packers sweater so maybe the poster is suffering from the fog of war.

    Thanks all for confirming.

I've shipped to/received from friends on the mainland via usps flat rate w/ no issues (knock on wood).

When does the weather start getting bad enough to where the bottles could potentially freeze in transit?

It's been unseasonably warm thus far this year, but after December you might start pushing it. If you can ship where they won't be languishing in the warehouses in the northern Midwest over a weekend period, you should be fine in all but the harshest of winters. Check the projected weather in advance of shipping and pack very, very well.
