To my sender, it looks fairly likely I'll be off work thanksgiving day and black friday, so if you're sending any heavy duty days, I prefer them to be the nights before those two (so days 1 and 2) though it is what it is if the box comes and says otherwise. All other days I'll likely be working 7-3

I've noticed beers with Muscat can be... odd. Muscat isn't a favorite grape of mine to start with.

I put feelers out for a bottle or two of Vanilla Noir hoping to try it uninfected and @Clarkson quickly responds with "how many?" He drops 5 of me which 3 of them I will be paying forward. Also he decides to fill a home depot box of other delicious nectar. Thanks Josh...Unreal stuff cheers!

 

So a little bit of pr0n from yesterday.

Went to Duclaw in Maryland for Day of Retribution (for a stout that shelf turds it seemed odd they were doing a one day brewery only release -- who knows what they are doing with what I'm sure are tons of leftover bottles -- either on prem only in their restaurants or sell them at a future event as vintage bottles would be my guess). Got there about 20 minutes before it started, and my group of 5 was maybe 20 people back in line. They let us in a little early, we started to get pours, and did the brewery tour. The guy who did our tour was very knowledgeable and let us take as many pictures as we wanted. Only took one...



So many barrels! This was only maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of the barrels, there are plenty more to the left of the frame. It ended up getting very crowded and hot in the tasting area and we wanted to leave to go to @Devman171 's place for the share my buddy and I left with 2 unused pours each that we gave to randoms. On the way out though....



Got a full allotment. Admission came with 2/2/2 and you could purchase up to 3 more sixers that you could choose what bottles you got. Went with a total of 6 pumpkin, 9 each of the other two. Pumpkin was much much better than expected, and chocolate cherry was good, but way more cherry than chocolate (I got almost no chocolate on it).

At Devin's place, he was asking about the event, and I talked about how it was pretty neat, and I liked that the sixers came in totes instead of generic holders like I thought they would. He then goes "oh speaking of totes, there's one over there for you but you have to read the note first" and pointed to one side of the room...



Apparently I was hit by a secret LIF by Clarkson through Devin (or something? IDK how it worked). Sorry my work-provided suit jacket is a little big on me, they get the pants hemmed but don't do anything about the jackets apparently



This is what was dropped on me, except the cat litter. All never hads, a few I've heard of (and I have a bottle of Bells 30th in my cellar already, just haven't cracked it yet), and others brand new to me. Thanks a lot for these Devin and @Clarkson !!!

Also yeah, I need to vacuum the carpet down here... the one cat has allergies and sheds all over the place -- clean it up and less than 2 days later and his white fur is everywhere... little jerk.

Well... so many compared to how many I'm used to seeing -- for example the barrel storage area at Troegs is incredibly small... but yeah I know Duclaw has nothing compared to some of these breweries out there hah
