Anyone staying in the Plover/O'so area Saturday night that is interested in sharing some bottles?

I'll be at the AmericInn with a couple friends and they've been pretty beer-friendly in the past.

Yes, and thankfully the limits are high for the peach.

Not really sure of our schedule for the evening yet.. but I'll bring some bottles and we'd be happy to link up before or after the party. Probably gonna check out Central Waters earlier in the day and do Mikey's nextdoor to Oso for dinner.

I'm a trustee for someone and I have a picture of his CA license on my phone. Is that sufficient?

As long as we're asking trustee questions, I listed one when I purchased the bottles, and they got shut out, so I'll be picking the bottles up myself. Is that going to create issues?

Yeah that should work fine, did the same thing last release.

It shouldn't, assuming this release is like the last one. There's a big list of names and what was purchased, but it's sorted by purchaser name. Trustee is listed in another column as a backup.

We will be staying at the comfort inn, heading to Cebtral Waters first and bringing some bottles.

Am I going crazy or did I not buy FFG hot sauce last time I ordered some glasses? I can't find the Facebook or Twitter info anywhere anymore. Anyone have that?

@Rio Picture of the purchaser's license on a phone is fine.

@chazmcbro If you are no longer using your trustee, that is fine, just bring your ID.

@Vinithing Hot sauce is sold out. Info regarding that will be on the 537 Hot Sauce facebook/twitter/IG page.

FFG glassware will be FS up at the Anniversary party.

O'so re: bottle sharing at the event---

"O'so Brewing Company - Tap HouseYes this is a sampling event. Previous years we have had people sharing in line outside and inside the party. We just ask people to please pick up after themselves. There will not be a designated area so be couteous of other around you and share, lol"

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but there does not seem to be an official one for this anniversary party, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew this...

As if things weren't already going to be super awesome tomorrow at the O'so Toys for Tots 8th Anniversary party. We decided to raffle off a 3L bottle of White Lodge Gueuze with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots. If you missed the Brown Paper ticket on the White Lodge, this is your chance to be the envy of the beer geek community.

    $5 for one ticket, $20 for 5 tickets, $50 for 15 tickets

Also, don't forget to visit our neightbors, Great Northern Distilling, and pick up a bottle of Doppelganger whiskey, a whiskey made from a Dominator Doppelbock distilate. I'm no whiskey expert, but I know what I like, and this stuff is tasty!

BPT & more info here: http://doppelgangerwhiskey.brownpapertickets.com/

    See everyone at the party!

What'd everyone think of the O'so Anniversary party and FF bottle sale/pickup?!

I though it a pretty well run event. First time attending. It was pretty busy and all the small issues that to along with that, but I had a good time (partially due to being able to stream Michigan escape Indiana on 2OT ony phone). Bottle sales/pickup seemed to go pretty smooth...although I've never paid tax on cash sales before on bottles...that was a surprise and a touch annoying as I had to use the ATM to get enough out to cover tax. Small gripe.

I liked the flight option and how that was run. Great pricing, way to spread the wealth on beers, and enjoyable way to get a bunch of beers (at once) without worrying about shit-facested-ness. The line took a bit for this as filling a bunch of sampler glasses for a tray takes time but the bartenders worked their asses off.

Peach beer (Arbre Qui Donne) is a tasty one and the Geuze is pretty good as well. We'll see how that one evolves over time. Nefarious seems really good but when it comes to spicy beers (I love spicy food) they just don't sit well...I still bought a couple bottles.

Well done O'so and Funk Factory. Thanks for the good time and tasty beers.

I thought the beer pick up line was smooth (I was in the very front of the line) and enjoyed the try before you buy. I was caught off guard by sales tax, why not just have it included? It would make the line even quicker, because no extra calculation needed (see Central Waters).

I wasn't able to purchase any FFG, so I didn't go. That being said, I look forward to trying the new Funk Factory releases sooner rather than later. The O'so Arbre Qui Donne is pretty solid, if a little bit one-dimensional. There is definitely a fair amount of peach in it that will definitely satisfy any peach cravings you might have.

We showed up late, staying from about 8 until 930, and it seemed like I was one of the last to pick up my allotment. A few taps had run out, but there were plenty of interesting options remaining and the bartenders were still smiling and being super courteous. I thought the sour peach was very decent too. The blonde w/cherry seemed like it could use a bit more carbonation, but there was no "cough syrup" thing going on and I appreciated that. The big stout (can't remember the name) by O'so was also pretty tasty, opening up nicely as it warmed.

Got to drink a healthy $4 pour of PM at CW beforehand, had a good burger and some Speedway at Mikey's, and my friends and I had the luck to drink some Cantillon and HF back at the hotel thanks to a very generous BA! Overall it was a great weekend... looking forward to popping a WhiteLodge and Frampaars soon.

Thanks much @TeamOso and @FFGeuzeria .... hope you guys are doing another event before CW18 this year.

My folks went and picked up my bottles for me, so this is the perspective of someone that has never been to a beer release(although still valuable I believe).

Got there at 3:45 and waiting a bit for the line of party attendees to dwindle. In and out in a very short period of time. Full allocation already boxed and ready to go. Copy of my tickets and picture of my ID with no hassles.

They were surprised at how easy it was. Only gripe my mom had was my dad didn't want to stick around for a picnic ants.
