To quote Cris Carter: "Buckeye, born and bred." Columbus, South Side, Marion-Franklin High School, THE Ohio State University. And I get more envious of the beer scene there with each trip back home.

I live in the first electrically lighted city in the world Wabash, In closest brewery hour away :slight_frown: no beer bars. We do have a wine & cheese shop the have a really good bottle selection for this area you can drink there.

I would have to say South Atlantic (ok I am biased since I live in VA). All I can say is that Virginia, and Richmond in particular, is becoming a craft beer haven. Many, many small new breweries and soon we will have Stone Brewery. I mentioned in an earlier post that I think we have more breweries than banks. And gas stations (just wishful thinking on that one).

In the event you are a foodie (I think that is what my kids call it), Richmond is now on the map.

I live in Colorado Springs, the "forgotten city" about an hour south of Denver. I get jealous at the distro and tapping events the Denver Denizens get, but don't miss the traffic.

Why so little PNW pollers? I would think there would be more considering how much beer there is around here.

Originally from the South Atlantic, moved here from the Rockies ( wish I was still there ) & will move into the South if all goes according to plan. Currently residing in Oklahoma, which is the least Southwestern state there is ( Really a mix of Midwest & South if you really get down to brass tacks ).

Indianapolis, IN. In my beer life, I've lived in Chicago, DC, the bay area, and here. All excellent beer places. For proximity and ease of getting fantastic beer at fantastic establishments all within reasonable distance of each other, we loved DC. Local beer was pretty bad there though, but the distro was AMAZING.

NorCal and Chicago, overall, were $. Amazing local beer in both places and great spots all over to hang. Indy compared to those is a relative disappointment, but truthfully, there's no shortage of great beer to be had.

seems like a really great place to open one
and the outdoor amenities there are off the hook

I wouldn't go that far. It's a nice town in a great area with lots to do and plenty of amenities. I just get sick of either the over-the-top Earth Mother-types or the Obama-stickered QX80 hauling just one 90-lb soccer mom around.

Colorado here. Interesting that Mountain and Northwest are pretty much tracking with demographics, while New England is about triple vs. demographics. Strongly supports my long standing suspicion about the skew in the top 250 rankings!
