    I see very little Midwest around considering the political/social/moral agenda that everyone has and the overwhelming majority of people I know would rather be considered part of the South/Southwest, than be thrown in with people from MO, IA, IN, NE, MN, or (god forbid) IL.

    oh trust me, i lived in boulder and boulder county foothills from 1992 until 2014 pretty much straight through and there are plenty of great things about the people's republic of boulder but the place has gone downhill over that time, and more recently, meaningfully so....
    i still get down there once a week and try to enjoy the things i love about the place and grit my teeth through the rest

    Accents & dietary choices make me think Midwest. Nobody I've every met in the South calls soda, not pop. Religion I'll give you that, a lot of Okies are convinced their religion is the only one not going to Hell, which is a very Southern thing.
