Now that I know who my sender is I went back and read some posts over again. I now realize that I have neglected saisons for too long. This is damn good.

 

Still have no idea who my sender is, but it's down to 9 potential ones.

 

5th year ann'y of the original Craft Beer Cellar was today. Random drops of awesome bottles all day, so I figured I'd stop in and see what was doing. I'd share what I bought with the group, but I have a feeling all 3 bottles will be split between the 12DoX and the SixterCAN (to be shipped hopefully Monday).

Dammit, you should have stopped by last weekend. I have no fewer than 15 shippers and you can have as many as you want.

I had that beer Sunday. Super interesting. Wish it wasn't so expensive, but about the best 4Hands we get in MD.

 

I really like it. Almost tough to differentiate it as a Brett IPA rather than a hoppy saison.

 

#VCS! Because... duh? My buddy who gave them to me said he wasn't sure how fresh they were and that they possibly weren't very fresh at all (I guess he got them from a friend of HIS), but tastes great to me.

 

That's one of the best things about Heady, it is absolutely amazing at 2, 3 days old. It is STILL excellent at 3 months old. Has the most staying power of any top tier IPA I can think of.

 

If Kevin endorses drinking three month old Heady then you better believe it's better than excellent.

#VBS number 2 (and the last for the night... probably shouldn't have opened this considering I need to go to bed soon and I'm a tiny mofo)... first bottle of this year's release. I honestly think it's a little better than it was on draft at the event, but slightly. I really do believe this is a bit of an underrated brew (not that it's incredibly poorly rated on this site), and definitely a standout beer from a brewery that normally produces very average brews. Looking forward to see how this ages and to also be able to share it with some locals in future boxes.

 

Absolutely, especially since you can literally stack the cans on top of each other...

 

Just make sure to mark them first since there's no can dating....

So I'm trying to catalogue the cellar after my recent windfalls... What a pain in my ass.

BUT! A bonus for you all.

LIF time!

How many bottles are in my cellar? PIR rules are in effect.

I will help a little. Beers in my kitchen fridge are not counted but beers in the beer fridge are.

I'll give you until Friday, 7 pm ET to guess, and try to ship Monday with my Turkey sixer.
