Anyone elses GD cans super hot? Haven't had it from a can in quite a while so might just be me. I assume it will mellow out here in a couple more days.

Just finished a can of GD...tastes the same as every other batch I've had aside from that late August canning run which was exceptional. It's always been a bit boozy, at least I've always thought so.

I don't know what sort of agreements breweries make with each other for collabs, but I can't think of another time that a brewery made a 'second batch' after a collaboration... If it's as good as everyone says it is, would OH just keep making it?

Otter Creek/Lawson's Double Dose comes to mind, but that could be different considering how small Lawson's is

Double Dose is a yearly release though - and it's so widely distributed and Otter Creek is so large that I am sure that lawyers nail down all those details. With the Trillium/OH collaboration or like when whoever goes to Hill Farmstead for a small batch that is only sold out of the brewery, I always assumed it's more of a handshake deal and there would be an understanding (if not more tacit agreement) that you wouldn't brew it again?

This is an interesting conversation. Most of the time when I see collaboration they are one and done. This seems unique in the sense that there were two, one at each brewery. Maybe there was an agreement that Trillium has the rights to Green Street and Other Half has the rights to Street Green and they can brew it whenever they want…

I want to try street green so badly I am actually considering driving an hour and a half to fill a growler. I will be dealing with traffic coming home too.

Anyone have an idea as to what else is on tap right now?

I'm trying not to judge the amount of time people have spent waiting and/or traveling for Street Green, and far be it for me to tell anyone how to spend their time. That said, it's a very good juicy IPA that embodies the best qualities from both Trillium and Other Half. Is it "drive at least 90 minutes and sit in traffic" better than the IPAs you can get on tap at Other Half on a normal day? I think that just depends, as I said, on how you value your time.

Street Green will be on tap at a few places this week: Blind Tiger, Covenhoven, and St Gambrinus.

I'm sure many other spots will get it too.

They didn't do growler fills of street green last Wednesday. No idea if it's the same today. putting that out there for people considering driving 90 minutes

I had this thought as well, since the Instagram post isn't entirely clear that they will be doing growler fills specifically of Street Green. However, the photo has Street Green next to a growler, so it sure seems to imply that they'll be filling growlers. And if they really brewed a second batch, I imagine they would be doing growler fills since as far as we know they aren't canning again this week. @Kanger can you shed any light on this?

"starting tomorrow we'll be pouring street green in the tasting room and doing growler fills"...implies that they will most definitely be filling growlers of street green. it's not like growler fills are something new to OH, so i doubt they would call it out unless they were specifically talking about street green, since last week they did not allow growler fills

Yea, that's my assumption too. Just want to make sure before I head over there. I'll probably go either way, because I want to grab a growler of We've Been Out Here in Orbit too.
