Thought that may be it, but I couldn't remember. I purchased two tickets in the same order for the September release and just wanted to make sure I could do the same again for my girlfriend and I next month.

    Hey guys,

I'll be heading up to the Western Slope next week for work and was planning on swinging by Cooper's to try and grab some Casey. Will it still be East Bank only like it was mid October? Just wondering what I'll be able to get my hands on, I've been dying to try some of these. Thanks!

What if the lifespan on cellaring these guys? Drink ASAP or keep for year? J/W if I should drink it or save it.
My friend had an Oak Theory in Aspen and said it was awesome, looks like it's available on a rotational basis.

The only reference we can look to are some of Troy's earliest beers, which are only about 18 months old at this point. All reports indicate that the first batches of Saison and East Bank are drinking better than ever. How will they do five years from now - nobody knows. But he's putting out top-notch AWAs, and there are plenty of other AWAs that have done very well with time.

EDIT: But as a generality, over a significant amount of time, typically fruit will fade, funk and acidity will increase, and the beer will change. It's hard to predict what Troy's culture will do to his beers over the long term, simply because his earliest bottles were released last summer. Also, his beers have far more fruit than most of his peers, and I can't imagine the fruit will fade significantly in the CFP and Cut beers.

But again, he's putting out some of the most high quality saisons and wilds in the country (IMO anyways), and there's no reason to believe his beers won't do well or at the very least hold up over time.

^^Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge on this. I have a Montmorency Fruit Stand and I really want to wait until I can share it with my Brother in Law before I crack it open. It's hard sitting on a beer you really want to taste. :/ I know, first world problems and all. I have a tiny wine fridge that I can keep a couple beers at 47 degrees in- it's hiding in there.

That beer will be absolutely fine in your wine fridge for at least a number of months.

Different beers but I think I feel confident that they will be good for years based on how AC Golden FN has been drinking. As well as the Colorambics that Troy helped produce. Those beers are holding up great after 3-4 years.

Very few Casey beers have lasted that long in my house.

It was supposed to be this month but they got A LOT of emails. We asked at the last release and they said they might not get around to it until December.

A LOT is a relative term, Troy said over 400 which yes, is a lot, but not nearly as many as I would have expected.

Yeah but imagine how many illiterate neckbeards got weeded out by the essay requirement. It could have been 1000.

Regarding cellaring, I recall hearing ~3 years as a mean lifetime for optimal drinking (if stored properly). As others have said though, I can't imagine one lasting that long in my house.

The most recent release was pretty awesome. Loved Hop Mess and CFP plum as others have said. But the sleeper series really did it for me. I would have drank the Bing, carbonated or not, all day at $6 a pour and would been infinitely content.

Yeah 400 is actually a lot less than I would have expected.

Drank a Brett Loves Citra from the July release tonight, the fruity Brett character is gone and it's a hoppy sour now. It was very good, but the first couple sips were a little disconcerting because I was not expecting sour

I would argue that the fruity hop character has faded and the Brett character has increased. And I wouldn't disagree that the beer has become more tart/sour.

EDIT: and I'm not just arguing how Brett and hops change over time on principle alone. I opened a bottle just a few days ago.

What is the minimum amount of money I should bring if I want to attend a Casey release/tasting? I've already got some ideas for my essay.

The total for the allotment from this past release was $148 for the 6 bottles (CFP x3, FS x1, and Hop Mess x2). The cost of pours at the bar range between $6-10. Glassware is $10. T-shirts are $20. Hoodies are $40.

So it really just depends on how "all out" you want to go.
