Beer related goals...

Basically I'd like to do more of the fun things that make beer really enjoyable. Shares with friends and meeting new people, trying new and amazing (sometimes not so amazing) beers, attend festivals and experience the local beer scene whenever I travel.

 

Not gain 20 lbs.

 

Drink a beer from all 50 states. I have 7 to go but I have no idea how to find out (without going through 1100+ beers) which 7 I'm missing as BA's sorting features are pretty weak. I can probably guess at least 5 though.

 

LOL this website is dedicated to craft beer, filled with people who near professionally over complicate craft beer. Its what we do.

But beer goals include to travel Germany trying different styles of beer fresh off the tap. Definately need to stop in Cologne for some fresh Kolsch.
Would also like to be a certified beer judge, if only for myself so I can improve my palate and have an excuse to drink more

I want to reach a 1,000 beers and im a long ways from it.
I also want to try everything from founders. I love everything ive had of theirs so far.
And I want to drink a Guinness in Ireland and a Hefeweizen in Munich.

 

Make it a point to visit Cigar City Brewing or at least sample a number of their products.

 

I like your thinking. My goal is similar.

Seems funny to talk about beer "goals," but mine is going to Belgium.

 

I have been to Holland, Germany and England in the 80s, but I do want to Europe to go to Belgium and revisit Germany.

Otherwise, no real goals other than to continue to drink quality beer both locally and on my travels.

I have three beer related goals!

1. I want to hit 1000 beers by the new year - basically a done deal as I'm at 996 now with two new beers on hand - I'll probably hit 1000 within a week's time.
2. I want to hit 100 styles - preferably by the new year, as a couple of the styles I'm missing are autumn/winter types (but not at all common), and I'm at 99 now. We'll see...
3. I want to have a beer from all 50 states, but this is unlikely without trading or traveling, so I don't have a deadline for that one. I'm at 36 states now.

 

If you get this one planned, let us know - bring some stuff from your area for a bottle share.


I don't really have goals other than to get a better job so SWMBO doesn't complain as much about how much beer I buy.
Get a few more batches of homebrew through the pipeline.
Any to exercise more so I can drink more without my sixtel (it used to be a six-pack, them moved on to a growler. Now it's beyond that) expanding any more, and hopefully shrink back to a growler max.
