Founders and Troeg's Harvest Ale's readily available in NEPA, at most bottle shops and distributor's.

    Unfortunately no Victory Harvest though.

I guess this was a super limited release, as I did not even see it anywhere in PA.

Ran through a case at release. Quite good but not as good as last year when I went through 3-4 cases. Price was up as well if I remember. $48+ tax this year , thought it was $40 last year. I also feel it fell off very quick this year compared to last year. My last few bottles this year were not as good as the first few only a week later. Smell was there but not the taste. Not had tap this year but last year tap was amazing.

Love victory so I can't really complain. Just waiting to go out there to get done BA coffee the day before turkey day.

    Enjoy

Java Cask is going to be great...14.3% ABV....and it doesn't taste boozy at all. Victory is opening up at 9 AM on Dark Weds....it's going to be packed.

I am not going to be able to get there until Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. You thinking bottles will still be available, or will they sell out Wed?

As far as I know I'd imagine all Victory locations will have bottles of Java Cask. The Parkesburg location should be up and running before Thanksgiving.

I doubt they will sell out on Weds though I really don't know....I know the D-Town location sold out of Harvest cases in a week so I have no idea how quickly they will go through bottles of Java Cask. Shoot me a message though, there could be an off chance I could grab you a bottle if you're out of luck. I live a few minutes from the brewery.

    found a 4 pack in NYC. $12.50.

Strange that it's so abundant in NY but almost non existent in North Eastern PA.

Victory still has some distribution issues to iron out I guess.

I think it is better as well.

Amazing that NY locations reportedly have it on shelves, as another poster noted it was gone at the mothership within a week of release.

I definitely agree, last years FHA was great, this year not so much. The Victory is very good, much better than FHA.

Showed up in NC a week or two late. Damn good beer. Maltier or at least darker malts than Founders & Lag, but reall nice. Reminds me of a fresh hop version of Fresh Squeezed with the malt and hops combo.

An FYI for those of you who live near Victory....they put Harvest Pils on draft today at their locations.

Have you tried the Harvest Pils? If so, how did it taste?

I was personally disappointed in this year's Victory Harvest Ale. It had a substantial vegetal flavor that was unpleasant for my palate. I really enjoyed drinking last year's Victory Harvest Ale.

    Cheers!

Had a sample, enjoyed it. Going to grab a growler of it this afternoon.

The Harvest Ale used the same hops/recipe as last year, I've heard that the hop harvest this year wasn't as great as last though, so that could be what you noticed?

Victory also tapped a limited addition "maibock" known as Zigga Zagga yesterday...uses aciduated malts. Might be up your alley? I know it's not maibock season but I'm under the impression it's an experimental brew...one of their "D-Town" brews which they will tweak over time before they finally roll a final addition in the Spring.

Puzzling to me as I'm just finishing up a sixtel of Harvest and there's no vegetal taste in my keg. Will have to compare to a bottle I have.
