Limits are what I'm interested in hearing.

Blah blah blah I'm too cool for BCBS. *furiously wraps his scarf around his neck and stomps away in a huff*

All Bourbon County is now sold in 16.9 ounce bottles, right? I know they changed the bottles themselves, but couldn't remember if they eliminated the 12 ounce - 4 pack formats or not.

Thanks. I wasn't 100% sure regarding the BCBS, BCBCS, and BCBW.

Is anyone else not concerned that they are selling vintage bottles from last year. I dont know that I have heard that this is happening in other cities. This just goes to show that the wholesalers in Pittsburgh dont know what they are doing, or held back bottles from last year on purpose. This upsets me a little because if this is on purpose then it was done to raise the price and sell them this year as vintage bottles. Does anyone else see it this way or am I just reading to much into it. Has anyone heard that 2014 bottles are going to be sold in other cities?

I doubt that's a function of wholesalers, probably just up to which retailers wanted to sit on their allotment for a year (Ho1KB, for instance).

I'd hold back a little until we find out more about it.

I was told that they have re-brewed this beer, using different coffee. I havent had the chance to try it personally, or know of anyone that had tried it yet. I was told that the coffee flavor now comes through more. I am looking forward to trying it again, hopefully soon.

Well that doesnt make me feel any better. I know that personally I did not seek out BCBS around here, because I know how much of a hassle it is. It was mentioned in this thread earilier about the staggering release by retailers as opposed to everyone selling it all on the same day. Now you saying that certain retailers either did not sell their allocation, or held a portion of it back to sell it this year. Am I understanding you correctly Nate? Is this something that House is doing/did already?

Didn't even think about it until you posted this...but yeah, now I'm at the very least curious...

Well I highly doubt they just showed up. Im not saying that out of the question, as I have heard of instances that these are still sitting on shelves places, just not sure how likely that is.

So are a bunch of you going to be lining up for BCBS around town on Black Friday? I went to a few places last year when I was in Florida to have tasters of Vanilla Rye but didn't bother buying any bottles. Wonder if anyone will have events like that around here.

Seeing all the pre-panic on the main thread makes me glad that I don't really care about the beer. I'd just like to try some on tap at some point.

I'm curious to see what the limits and stuff are like. If it sounds like there's a decent chance to snag a Regal Rye then I may go. Wife will be out Black Friday shopping anyway so it's either that or sit at home on my ass.

But for the other stuff, I'll just hold off and let others have at it. BCBS and BCBBW are too easy to acquire via trade for me to justify line standing for.

And that's not to at all demean what Randy has done there, I think it's awesome. If I didn't trade then I'd no question be down there.

I am lazy and getting to be a grumpy old man so I am not keen on standing in line for much of anything, let alone beer. When it comes to "big" beer releases I will only really consider going if it is a ticketed, limited amount of people. Damn I am a grumpy asshole.

No, I hear you. At Gratitude Day this year I went and got my armband and then went back to my car and slept until it was time to get in line.

Other than the regular, probably won't happen.

EDIT: but what do I know? I painted a grim picture of the bottles and seems that we're getting most of them and on time...sooooo...
