Thanks for the heads up. Should finally get to try the BA 12 Dogs of Christmas without having to buy purchase a magnum.

Haha, the Magnum as D's calls to me every time I walk by it.

The one thing I like about Hough's is the ability to get 4.75 oz pours of things instead of a full glass.

Sounds delicious...I like that they are using smoked malt even though I'm sure it won't be an overwhelming amount or anything.

To get to the breweries yes but I find almost all of the beers in Orlando. Maybe it is just because I am able to get a case of jai Ali every time I come home.

Yeah, the option to purchase smaller pours is awesome. That probably sealed my decision in going down there.

I've started reaching out to the local bars asking about Black Friday. I'll post their responses as I get them. Anyone have a bar that they would like me to reach out to?

Temper your expectations. I thought it was pretty terrible.

I'm not expecting anything mind blowing, but I've been a big fan of Thirsty Dog's barrel aged stuff and this was always something on my radar. I'm happy to see it on tap, and for a very reasonable price.

Anyone ever have Alpine Nelson from the source? I drank 4 the other night and thought that each was really delicious. I've read that the "Green Flash Brewed and Distributed" version is a lot different than what you get at the brewery.

This thing was cloudy and smelled floral and fruity, really clean and bright, had a backbone. I was really impressed.

Edit:I had the Duet a while back too and liked it.

I'm a couple pages behind - sorry if someone already mentioned this, but just got word there's one case of death by coconut at save-mor for $57. Seemed like some people seemed interested in getting some earlier in the thread.

I don't want the case of DBC but what is this Save-mor you speak of?

Just a distributor. Kind of between squirrel hill and homestead. Not actually sure what that area is called.

Alpine Nelson, brewed by Alpine, is maybe my favorite IPA. The Green Flash version is good, but not the same. The color was a bit darker, and there is no such thing as a "backbone" in a hoppy Alpine beer.

On the way to homestead from Squirrel Hill, it is right next to Wendy's on the left hand side, Troy.

Cool thanks guys. I have never heard of the place. Do they get a decent amount of stuff there? Maybe they have a case of Hop Fro stashed away for me!

    Is that still technically Greenfield?

They get some nice stuff form time to time. Got a few cases of KBS when it released here and raffled them off I believe. I split a case of Raison D'extra from there last year as well.
