They can't do the raffle thing anymore, got in trouble with it a while back.

They do...I think they were most famous for their attempted lottery of certain "special" cases for charity...that someone reported as illegal and so they shut it down...if I'm remembering that whole thing correctly.

Have you ever tried Buddy's Brews in the South Side, Troy? Jake, the owner, is a really awesome dude...gets in good stuff and is more than willing to try to get you anything that is available in the area. When you go on his "list", you get a call. He's a real good guy.

EDIT: some people beat me to the raffle stuff at Sav More above apparently...

I just remember seeing a posting about them doing something that wasn't "first come first serve" for the KBS cases.

Yeah they did a raffle and then donated the proceeds to charity, but I guess it broke one of the archaic PA alcohol laws or something.

I think I have been there before (Buddy's) and they had a great selection. I remember them having Blushing Monk and Backwoods cases. Thanks for the heads up on getting on the list. These are the little things that I am still navigating.

I would imagine that Fat Heads still has some 6pks of Hop Fro. I might have to swing by there tomorrow for a pint of something good and a case of Hop Fro to go.

Not sure of their glassware, but since everything is 10 oz pours, you would think for simplistic reasons that the sample pours would be 5 oz. Price is halved, why not just make the pours halved

Is Higher Math or Fort anywhere around town? I'd like to snag a few if so. I love the DFH monster ABV beers.

HO1K said they got another allotment of Higher Math, a day ago.

No problem...I make it a habit to promote Buddy's...Jake has been treated me well for years. Prices aren't anything crazy good, but also not terrible considering they are right there on Carson and could probably charge an insane amount for some of the things he has on shelves...

Duffy's in South Park (http://www.duffysbeer.com/product_listing.asp?type_name=beers) has once case of Hop Fro left, for $39.99. If you are jonesing and concerned it might get nabbed, I can grab it for you today at lunch--if you're willing to come pick it up/meet this weekend (South Hills).

Speaking of cases, Vecenie's in Milvalle had 2 cases of Bell's 30th as of Wednesday afternoon.

Really appreciate the offer. I am going to check out FH tomorrow, which should still have it. If for some reason they don't I might be making the trek to the South Hills.

Anyway, I take back all the jabs I took about your inability to attend bottle shares etc............No wait, they still stand, but I will say them in a nicer tone now. :grinning:

Thought I was the only person who bought cases. Duffy's also has a case of Sorry Not Sorry, but it rings in at 90 bucks, so pass. Did just grab a case of Born Yesterday for $45 earlier this week though.

I didn't have them from the source but I had bottles from Alpine. Much preferred Duet to Nelson (major minority, I know).

I'm not much of a case purchaser, but my girlfriend signed herself up for a beer share at her work.

Translation - I went to the beer store and bought her a case while she gets a bunch of other free beers.

There is some craft in Disney, but yes you are right, they haven't dived into it head first like one would think they would

I know i liked the Duet, on tap at Ruggers i think, but I don't remember being "Wowed" by it like the Nelson. I also probably smoked 100 cigarettes that night and took ten shots of Jameson, so i should probably give it another try.

So far Alpine is cool in my book, hope to get my hands on some other offerings.

Thought the most recent batch of Duet was better than the first that hit in PCBW15.

    Yikes.
