    That's right, thanks.

This is all correct. In talking to the folks out there, I don't think there are any plans to package their hoppy stuff. They are going to being doing some limited runs of barrel-aged beer in bombers once it's ready.

They are meticulous about the freshness of their IPAs and kegs are a much more effective way of ensuring the beer is consumed fresh.

It's paying off. You could easily argue they are the most exciting brewery in the area currently.

I agree with that, I can't wait to taste their barrel aged stuff. The base beers for each are phenomenal. There should be plenty too, they have 10 barrels filled with stout and 9 filled with barleywine.

There is one thing I really don't like about Ocelot. It is 45 minutes from my house. There are two breweries within 15 minutes of me that I try to find a reason go to but 99% of time I would of been better off drinking my homebrew.

This might be a little premature, but with the Right Proper production facility opening next month, has anyone heard what their plans are for bottling? I know they're planning to bottle some beers, but is there anything specific in the works? After a bit of a quiet period for them, they've been churning out a steady stream of new beers lately.

Any word on when FW XIX or Stone Xocoveza will hit the area?

Based on DC's FW distribution, XIX could land in the District any time from next week to January to never.

It's 5 minutes from my house and the thing I don't like is the pricing, paying what equates to a $20+ six pack for an IPA is too much, IMO. If it was in 12oz cans I would splurge more often as I wouldn't have to finish them all in one sitting.

I'm as thrifty as the next guy, but I think you're comparing apples to oranges. One is fresh draft beer, the other is canned/bottled beer. The more fair comparison would be to compare their growler or pint prices to other growler and pint prices in the region.

From Popville, likely pulling from a press release:

"Ok the beer – first kegs. Then 750ml bottles of Nathan Zeender’s good stuff. Growler filling available of course. But also – canning should start around Memorial Day!!"

I understand where you're coming from. They are priced a bit higher than some other local breweries (but still on par/cheaper than many). However, if their kegs keep showing up 1 day old, I'm fine with that. Haha

Man if that Kick Kick Snare or Diamonds Fur Coat Champagne are canned, I will be a happy happy man.

Norm's has Pure Hoppiness and Alesmith IPA. They also have lots of Nelson, Duet, Hoppy Birthday, and Speedway stout too. Get the bomber of Alesmith IPA as the six packs are already two months old and cost $16.
