Holy fuck that lineup. That looks like a "best of" from those epic 100-person, 250-bottle shares... yet you guys somehow managed to cram all that ridiculous quality into one lineup.

I'd have put up $250 without batting an eye for that lineup, that's friggin' insane. Granted, there's a good chance they'd have used the $250 to buy me $300 worth of beer to send me home with whether I liked it or not, but that's beside the point.

And that's a SMALL size HD box..... jesus Matt.

This is awesome... but if you print your labels at home you tell them what it weighs, and as often as not they don't bother to reweigh it, particularly if you're in the ballpark.

@gjoker321 - I am interested in the Huna discussion. I should be able to make it this year.

I am hoping to be in for Huna as well (depending on ticket availability) I sponsored an El Cat membership to a buddy who previously lived in Tampa but has since moved I know last year El Cat members could get 1 ticket but since his name was on the membership it didn't help me.

I guess I'm suffering from Erika'itis (@Littlelotte88 LYMI..) because I sure the hell don't feel like I'm an efficient packer at all and I'm definitely not consistent in the way I pack boxes. I always reuse the bubble wrap that I receive in boxes but it seems like I'm constantly buying more bubble wrap/packing material. That leads me to think that I use more bubble wrap and packing materials than other folks and that's not real efficient. But I do pack boxes as tight as I can get them. If the sides of the boxes aren't bulging just a little bit then it isn't packed tight enough and I stuff in more packing material/beer.

When you sent to me in the AA round, you had two small boxes inside a larger one. And you had basically wrapped every bottle in bubble wrap and fit 3 (I think) bottles in a row alongside each other. For the most part, the bottles were all the same height and fit perfectly in the box, and IIRC 2 cans stacked took up a comparable spot. Then in the couple of places where you had smaller bottles, you stuck swag in. Relatively little padding.

In contrast, I have had multiple occasions where it's sort of a big mess in the box with lots of bubble wrap, paper, and other padding (and I'm always paranoid that I didn't find all the beer), and then after I unwrap everything I can barely fit the packing materials back in the box WITHOUT any beer.

On a semi-related topic, the last few boxes I've sent have been bubblewrapped in pieces I cut out of an old solar cover for an above ground swimming pool -- snuck it into the garage one day and cut long strips which I smuggled downstairs, and I've been cutting pieces to size depending on the bottles being wrapped.

Sounds like a plan dude. I have a crew of 4-6 that will definitely be at MBCP day. We usually show up at crack of dawn and do a bottle share in line with people around us. If you are interested (or any local for that matter) join us! We usually have games and food too.
Oh man, just pictured Whyboy saying that as he walked him into his van to ominous music

Are you soliciting another box? If so, fine.

If not, way back in post #7190 of this thread you said I did a helluva packing job! :grinning:

    *** LIF Alert ***

Guess the correct number of miles my old truck has to the nearest tenth of a mile and I'll send a box of Texas goodness. No PIR rules, closest answer wins. My Grandfather and myself are the only two owners. He had it from 1978 to 2006 and I've had it since 06. I'm pretty sure I've put almost as many miles on it in the 9 years I've had it as he did in 28 years.

I'll close this down on Monday at noon central time.

I just love reading this thread. Classic stuff all around.

I see Matt as the guy with a 'to kill list' and when they speak out of turn, instead of death, they get more bottles.
