    Heh, yes we all do.

So we have 2 types of beer stores here. Distributors (can only sell by the 12 pack or case) and Bottle shops (which have to sell food and cannot sell you more than 192ozs in a single transaction). Bottle shops usually have an insane mark up. Case prices aren't terrible but still higher than most of the civilized country.

It's definitely on the pricey side but they have a decent selection. Picking up some daisy cutter and jai alai tonight

Not as far as I know. I asked about Black Friday & got this. I asked specifically about Bourbon County stuff & heard nothing. That may or may not be an actual indication of what will go down.

EDIT: Whoever mentioned Lilliko'i Kepolo earlier (I think @dannyfayy), House has carried it & likely still does.

    Thanks!!!!

WTF is the big secret around town @kbuzz ? Explain this to me. Why don't people want us to know so we can plan accordingly?

I've determined that Pittsburgh just enjoys chaos.

Quick law related question... What are the time limits (start and cutoff) for alcohol sales?

I'll be in town tomorrow and was planning to stop at GE Shadyside in the morning to grab some locals before hitting the breweries and restaurants so I just wanted to make sure that I'll be able to do that around 9am - 10am. Thanks.

Not sure about the law, but I believe GE starts selling beer at 9am.

    I have two theories:

    1. We've historically gotten so little that retailers around here still wring their hands over it until they've perfected a plan for this rare opportunity to rake profits...

    2. Communication from the wholesalers is so damn terrible that retailers might not even know if they are getting any until it shows up on the truck...

Whatever the reason, it's conditioned me to just not give the slightest of fucks about any of these beers that cause this...KBS, BCBS, whatever else...don't care any more. It's exhausting to even think about, let alone actually go out and chase...

Thanks man, we start filling them next Sunday 11/22 when we open at Noon.

And this is mostly for @london1o1 because I miss your beautiful boney ass but anyone else who might care we have a new Dry Hopped Sour on tap called 'A Different Kind of Animal' made with our house lacto culture and dry hopped with Equinox, Apollo, and Zeus.

So I had a shitty experience at Bridgeville beer and pop 4 less. I brought a case of crooked tree up to the counter, and before I could ask, the lady there told me that it was just delivered from the wholesaler yesterday, and they have a beer guy who makes sure that all the beers are fresh. I get home and see that the bottles are dated April 2015 so I called them to see if I can get an exchange. She proceeded to tell me multiple times that she didnt brew the beer, she didn't bring it up to the counter, and they don't take returns. She told me to call Wilson McGinley (wholesaler), but I told her that's her job. She said she'll call me tomorrow. I'm not optimistic. I was just about to praise their great selection there, but after this mess, I'd say stay away.
